Lets get a some lever action #### going

I got my camera working but forgot to send them along. Here is a photo of the sling attachment on my circa 1942 winchester model 94. From what I can find out this type of connection was a factory option.

That sure is a gem you have there iceman2.
Anyone have anything to add to the front band swivel?
The end of the strap hook looks like it has some age to it as well.
I seen one of these on an old 38-55 and thought for sure
someone did the Buhbba to it.
Not I'm not so sure.
Hmmmm..

I did find out but memory fails me.
I think it was around 1910 something in my mind keeps saying 1909.
It's a 94 not a 1894 & serial number is 104XX?

Very nice:). The one I have is an 1894, little newer vintage, serial # 120###, and is rough compared to yours. I picked it up from my uncle, primarily for sentimental reasons as it's the first center fire rifle I had ever shot. It was kept in a family hunting cabin and my cousin and I used to sneak it out when the opportunity presented itself.

Not right now, but it is simply an eye screwed into the stock. The head of the eye is the same shape as the eye on the forearm band. I'll post a pic when I'm home.

Here is another of my Model 64s. This in a very early one, the serial number was applied to this gun on December 4, 1932. Winchester started producing them in November 1932 and they were added to their catalog in January, 1933.
What makes this one more extraordinary, is it has a special order Lyman 56 receiver sight, Marbles rear sight dovetail filler, still wears its original hang tang has has never been fired. Better yet....it is in 25-35WCF. It is very hard to find a Model 64 in this scarce cailber.
Here are a couple photos:

I just picked this up today. I'm a Winchester man, but this is my first Marlin. Don't tell anyone ;)

Marlin Model 1895 made 1905 in 38-56 with special order 28in barrel, sling eyes and tang sight. Also equipped with a nice german sliver blade sight.

Oh, your secret is safe on here!

That is a really nice Marlin 1895. You sure don't see many of them around. Are you going to do some reloading for it?

I know, that's what I like about this group.....we're tight and there are no leaks! :p

Thanks, the colour case has mottled as you can see, but the other side still has some wavy lines.

Yes, am going to reload for it. One of the reasons it appealed to me aside from the special order stuff was that the 38-56 seems to be a child of the 45-70 (for case) and the 38-55 (for bullet). I got 100 or so reformed 45-70 brass with it, I already reload 38-55 so have the bullets, I just need the dies and I can put this thing to work! I passed on an 1886 40-82 a while ago because I don't cast my own bullets, so this sortof made up for it.

Oh and PS Matt.......that Model 64 really gives me mixed feelings......happy to see its beauty, sad cause I want one. Beautiful gun in a great caliber....

roseau river rat: I love the looks of a Winchester with a receiver sight. Nice looking rifle.

Let us know how the reloading works out for you, and how she shoots. Gonna take it on a hunt?
Thanks, I like the 64s too. They were / are a very aesthetically pleasing gun. And yes, the 25-35 is a great caliber for shooting, they have quite a bit of snap to them. I have another 25-35, don't think I posted pics of it though yet. It is a semi-deluxe 1894 with some rare special order options.

Nice lamp. I have the exact same one in my den. I've posted this picture previously but, here's my favorite lever gun. A model 71 Winchester deluxe.
