Lets get a some lever action #### going

Just to keep the Marlin theme going here are 4 Model 1893s in different barrel lengths. Starting at the top is 30", 28", 26" (standard) and a 24"

Bittermansbro, that is a nice Model 1895 that you have. I am still looking for the elusive pre 1906 Model 1895 Carbine.

Thanks RK, if I had to get into a Marlin, I am glad it was this one. Although I have not personally kept an eye out for old Marlins, one thing I don't think I have ever seen is what you are looking for. I don't think there were many of the 1895's and so an even smaller amount of 1895 carbines I assume?

Just need a metal buttplate and its done.

cool looking rifle, you have any better pics.

I had the rare opportunity to spend a few hours over the past 3 days looking over some of the best lever actions rifles to be assembled in one room and to think about the man that was able to assemble such an amazing collection in about 6 years. This is only something that most of us only dream about being able to do. I can say that he must have enjoyed having this collection even though it was a short period of time as I enjoyed sitting in the room admiring these guns and hearing stories about the man from one of his closest friends.
The guns are from the Wes Adams collection and will be auctioned off in March. I would advise anyone intertested in Marlins and Winchesters to send for the catalouge from Jame Julie Auction as it will be a great reference book to have. These pictures only represent a small part of the collection.

This is Lever Action #### at the highest standard.

I'm not sure what's more impresive or inspiring - that one man managed to create this colection, or that such great guns are still out there and available to the public.

If I had Bill Gates type of money, I'd buy this entire collection and build a museum around it.

Absolutely outstanding. Thanks so much for sharing those photos RK. I can see you enjoyed the show this weekend! Generally, when are the catalogs available to order?

Man, I wish I could have made it down.

Here are some more of them:

There are also photos of several of his nice 1894s in Robert Rennerberg's "The Model 94".

UNBELIEVABLE!! That almost makes me weep in despair, knowing that I will never be able to afford even one of those amazing old guns.

Matt, I talked to James Julie and he was kind enough to let me handle and examine as many of the guns that I wanted to which was very enjoyable. He told me that the cataloges would be out sometime in Feb. Some of these guns I have seen before at the Las Vegas show and at some other auction houses.
I would suggest that a trip to Fairfield Maine to view these guns would more then make up for not making it to Las Vegas.

Amazing what you can collect when money is no object. When you can afford to radically over pay for any piece, pay millions for entire collections anything is possible. I am hearing that the family will be lucky to get 40 cents on the dollar for what Wes paid for this stuff.

Well thank you Matt.
from that link I have deducted that one of my guns was deffinately engraved by one of the "gunmakers of Suhl" :)
