Gents,

I am fairly new to the Black Rifle World, I have shot the hell out of my CZ858 and now I am looking for something a little fancier. I have viewed the Questar selection in AR308 and a few others but I am uneducated. just a few questions:

1. Which brand offers the best selection of after the fact accessories/mags and is easy to upgrade?

2. Which brand offers readily available parts and support.

3. A:confused:And obviously which brand is the biggest bang for the buck?

Thanks for any advice.

Depends on your budget........

KAC SR25 is the way to go,but there is a serious dollar cost to that, if you can afford it then by all means...

2nd MR308/HK417 is an awesome choice as well, getting parts for it are not that hard yet? I would upgrade a few small things though. Get an enhanced trigger guard from KAC, a convex buffer pad and possibly an extended rail and be prepared to order 10 plus 20/5rds HK mags that will run you a hefty bill.

3rd LMT
May be the best for the price.

4 POF

5 REPR is good to, but I don't think it compares to the MR308 in accuracy.

Conclusion

Remember there are optics you will have to get for this bad boy as well, definitely don't cheap out on that, I would say that is the most important part.

DPMS/Remington R25 are what you're looking for.

Best price/performance and easy to upgrade.

X2, ask Abhobbiest about them he's quite knowledgable with them. Buy the rifle for $1200ish and spend some real money on a good optic to go with it, upgrade the trigger at some point down the road for a couple hundred more.

KAC SR-25 may be a nice rifle but it's wayyyy over priced.

I don't drink the KAC Koolaid either. The price is too high for what you get. My personal opinion on that one.

I went for a LMT MWS but only because I received an excellent deal on it. That's at the upper limit for what I would be willing to spend.

Didn't LMT beat HK for the Brit's contract?
But then again the Brit's did field this as there MBR...

my vote for best bang for the buck would be the LMT308MWS.
as much as i love both H&K and KAC koolaid, the LMT is a better deal.

the SR-25 $6200 is awesome but for almost the same price you can have a LMT with barrels in all available calibres $6500. (308, 338, 7mm, 6.5,260, and 243)
and after you cost in the ridiculous price for proprietary mags on the MR308, you getting up there in price as well.

+1

I ordered 10 mags for $1500, that really suckedLaugh2

For the price of Ten 20/5rd mags and i could have bought a lot of other more needed things for magazines that cost what $10 to make, that really blows.

Gees I could have bought 2 extra aimpoint T-1...

If I am not mistaken the Les Baer is guaranteed to shoot 1/2 moa . Dream rifle Les Baer Monolith .308 semi auto SWAT Model.
