BUT re read what you just said man!
No, it was not a catastrophic life ending explosion, but you used an item in a capacity it was never designed for and it broke and a piece hit you in the face.
It caused you enough concern to launch a thread telling all to stay away from these copies.
I have used my Roni extensively, so I know the ergonomics of it.
If that area had cracked instead of breaking, and if that crack spread under fire, and if the up and side force you were using on the vertical front grip helped that crack to sheer the front off, you have now just shot yourself in the thumb.
You guys saved a lousy $300 or so, is it really worth the (now documented, not make believe) risks?
