LMT or Noveske???

You have good taste! ;)

Worth every penny IMO, actually it's kinda funny, Noveske accidentally shipped me two sets of Troy flip sights in the box. When I called over there to talk with them on specs, I told him what had happened and he laughed and said consider it a gift from Noveske! I told him I'd be buying a Diplomat soon and that'll even things out then, he laughed and said have a nice day. Great bunch of guys over there, very helpful and said if I ever needed anything to just call, ... He also new I was Canadian.

Very very nice rifle man!!

Why not throw HK, POF or LWRC into the mix, too. :D
Except for HK witch I will never own due to personal reasons. Please inform me if these other 2 companies make DI rifles that have monolithic uppers. As I am only aware of these 2 companies make there version of a piston upper and there is another company out of Czech that also makes a piston monolithic upper. Also yes I am aware that Armilite does make a monolithic upper in a DI platform but I already own a Armilite AR.

OK, we get it. 'Your' noveske is the best thing since sliced bread. Since the barrel is what makes the gun, why don't you post up some of the superior groups that 'your' noveske is capable of?

After all, if I buy a quarter mile car, and just brag about how good it looks and the quality of it (or the accidental freebee's I got), but never run it in the quarter mile, am I really qualified to extol the virtues of that car?

Here's an idea, shoot 'your' noveske in your range, that way there are no environmental variables (like wind, humidity, temperature variation, etc), and post up groups to show the superiority of the noveske free sights...... oops, I mean barrel.

ah..... that's right. There is no 'your range' yet.

Disregard.

What? lol, why are you so pissy?

And again why are you so concerned with what I'm doing? Are you just cranky because of your own life's short comings? I don't get it...

So I like photography and am trying to post up some nice pics for the guys on the fence, I'm sorry that offends you.

I post facts and accurate info about Noveske barrels because there's so many rumors flying around. Wasn't that the point of this thread? Again, I'm sorry that offends you.

OK, next time I go to the range I'll take some pics of some targets. I didn't know that was proper protocol. The truth is its been absolutly crazy at the shop lately and of course this cold snap isnt helping, I sneak away at lunch some times but time is usually limited...

Yes, My range isn't open yet, I'm still working at it. Im not too sure why you keep dogging me about it either, does it offend you that I'm trying to do this? It's not easy ya know but I'm committed and am working my butt off to see it through. Alot of things on the go right now with the shop, Give me a break will ya...

Again, your post is full of assumptions about me and I'd ask that you give it a rest already,

Bottom line though is that even lower tier AR15's, due to the inherent design, will shoot groups smaller than most shooters are capable of besting - whether a Noveske or an RRA.

Perhaps, I agree to a point. Although I think one could achieve better results with their Stainless barreled version, those that are intended for a precision carbine. With features like John's "NMm0" Chamber (Noveske Match Mode 0) and his "Improved Polygonal" [rifling] I believe theres more potential there. Their hammer forged barrels claim superior accuracy but more importantly better than average service life, where that is sacrificed with their stainless version in lieu of performance. All these claims are backed up by their unique design and manufacturing processes. I guess the point is there are some shades of grey, it may not be that black and white as you put it.

I personally never bench my AR's I shoot standing mostly, this is why I chose the hammer forged barrel, I preferred having the exceptional service life, rather then the exceptional accuracy. I've never really tested the potential of the rifles, just always go out and shoot gongs and such. I guess now it's got me kind of curious...
