What do you think of the $75 SKS

Will do. What I can say thus far is that the experience has been top notch. I don't know who I spoke with on the phone but he was more than helpful in answering all of my questions.

I'll post pics of everything when it arrives, should be here by end of week!

Sweet.. Good thing is they right herein Montreal I believe :)

I just ordered a $75 SKS 3 weeks ago. It showed up last week. It's numbers matching and looks mint. I can't believe how sharp the rifling is on it, and I thought my Russian Tula had sharp rifling!

I haven't shot it yet so I can't comment on its accuracy but I wasn't charged much for shipping at all it. When you buy it with a case of ammo the ammo is the expensive part to ship! Those crates are like 44lbs a peice compared to the rifle at under 5.

Do these chinese sks's have (mostly) interchangeable parts with the russian sks's? I'm thinking bolt, carrier, firing pin, trigger assembly, gas tube/piston, magazine etc.

I know the bayonet is different, but I'm curious if I had a breakage on my russian one if the chinese parts could be a donor.

SKS weighs less than 5lbs? Right on!

The 1400 round crate weighs 66 LBS and cost $67 to ship to Edmonton using Canpar.

I wouldn't count your chickens till there hatched. Even if they say the lists are destroyed, there will likely be a paper copy in every police detachment. :nest:

Hundreds of "flash" drives floating around with copies of the latest update made moments before the flush wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Besides they know about ever firearm imported and manufactured here. They just won't know the exact houses to find them. That's what the PAL and other "licences" will be used for.
