It is a Colt M1911, unfortunately at some time in its life the USP markings and inspector's stamp were removed. Yes the lanyard loop is bent. Given the condition of the rest of the pistol, I chose to leave it that way rather than replace/straighten it. It has very little finish remaining, I tried being careful about choosing similar condition parts to minimize the "pieced together" look. The other problem is that the trigger face was ground smooth, but I haven't come across a suitable replacement yet. If I recall correctly, the grips came from a Government Model, but they seemed to suit the condition of the pistol.

That is already the correct long trigger with smooth face.
Yes, its the correct trigger. However, someone took a file or something and removed material from the face. For what reason, I don't know.
I have shooters too. They aren't all just for looking at.
