Awsome pic!! wish it was like that in BC I might have to come hunt there!
We've got them thinned out pretty good now. A look at the background will show why someone might want a .257 Bee.

Sure, 12 year old kid with a fistful of tags and .257 Bee with those Ballistic tips that can't kill anything. I think he had 9 tags that year, but in any case he had more tags than days to hunt so we packed it in a bit. Nothing needed to be shot more than once, and he was able to pull of a couple of doubles.
A big congradulations for the kid!!! I'm a believer that kids should get a few kills under their belt. The 257 Weatherby is a "fantastic" cartridge for those long range shots out in the prairies. 100 grain ballistic tips would also be my choice or the 110 accubond. Keep up the good work kid, moreover; our tradition, custom and heritage.![]()
I had been heading down the 25-06 path, but took a right turn and slapped my name on a Vanguard 2 in .257 bee. Just waiting for the 4-12x40 Redfield to top it.
Elaborate ? Just agreeing with my choice I assume?Don't wait too long, those that do are in for a rude awakening.

In any case, I would have had it in my hands today if it weren't for the fact the LGS was out of the 4-12 in standard retical. No need for accurange on the .257.
How the LSS workin' out for ya?
Where do you find the holdover points align as far as yardage?

The rifle is phenominal I love it! I took it out to 500 meters yesterday and I could hit the gong all day long lol if I wanted to I'm finding the redfeild a little restrictive in the range dept so I might have to dust off the wallet and buy a LRT scope probley a leopould. I zero'ed it at 250 meters and at 500 I aim a little low with the second dot using 100gr spitzer weatherby ammo.
.257 weatherby mag is it worth it over a 25-06 reload hot?
The Redfield Revolution line is about to take a $100.00 per scope price increase.![]()
