So after seeing all these newfangled striker-fired pistols come out, I finally had to get one. Big internet thank you to all the people who posted tips, tricks, and gremlins on here, and also John at Custom Reloading, and here's some pics!

First the EE picture:p:
" I own a thousand dollar firearm, and a computer, but had to borrow my kid's fisher price camera, trust me, it's BNIB, 1000 test fires. $827 firm."

Then I took some...in the breezeway between the house and garage?:

But I didn't like the dirty snow, so I came in.

Then I had an idea:

I really liked the light on the copper, and had plans for more ammo stretching off into the distance, but wasn't happy with the angle of the pistol, so of course, some fell over:

Oh Noes! So like an idiot, I couldn't leave well enough alone, and tried to move it again...I didn't take a picture of the result, but it sounded neat:rolleyes:.

After cleaning up the mess, I thought I'd grab a picture of this:

Just to show the crazy packaging I kept hearing about.

Now I'm just sitting here, listening to CRR episode 86, gently filing down followers so the darn mags fit 10, watching Apex how to videos over and over again.

Cheers!

$827 for an M&P 9? an M&P 9 range and carry kit at Ellwood is $669. 827 is a little overpriced but good purchase. It is a great gun

....It was meant to be a poke/joke at some of the EE ads I've seen. I'll go put an emoticon beside it...or something:D.

I did get the 9mm Range Kit, it was 700 and change+ the dreaded HST at my local gun store.

After filing, the mags all fit 10 an' a quarter rounds , and they can all just slam home on a closed slide.

I've now put the Apex Competitition kit in and WHOAH. Randy Lee is not kidding when he says 2 and a half pound pull. I put the original sear spring back in, that made it a nice 3 and a half. Then my buddy left with his trigger gauge, before I thought to compare it to the DCAEK spring in the Kit. I'll see him next weekend, and maybe do a comparison. This kit is worth every penny, although if I wasn't thinking IDPA in the spring, I'd like to try the FSS as well.

That pic is great with the ammo. I showed my wife, she said "whoa! that's a whole lot of ammo" I it looks like 12 boxes, so 600 rounds... Then I amazingly heard "oh... Well, that's not much, just looked like a whole lot more"

Yes!! I am finally catching a break!! Thanks to your picture for the good news. :)

Congrats on the purchase, hope you enjoy it! Where'd you get it? You said local and location is the valley... Darts?

I think I layed out 400 rounds before I decided to play involuntary dominoes, I need to lay out about 700 for the shot I want...I'll see how lazy I am this week.

Yep, got it in one.

M and P 40

I've had a 40 for a couple of years and really enjoy shooting it. I love the "bed of ammo" pic.
Cheers,

Great pic's and what a great gun - I have had 2 M&P9's in the last year , both sold and I have replaced it with a G35. I have thought about adding a M&P again to the locker.
--- and $827 used !! :D that's cheap for dart :D
see you at the range and enjoy the new M&P -- it is a VERY fine pistol

Can you can still shoot in IDPA with the FSS. It will be in ESP instead of SSP. I'm still waiting for mine to show up for my Pro 40.

I'm going to try out IPSC standard and IDPA ESP. I don't think it really matters what class you are in. It's still the same amount of fun for me :)

Enjoy

D'oh! Good call. I'm not sure how IDPA at my club works, I need to go find out. Very much looking forward to this!
Hmmm maybe now looking forward to the FSS...except the kit comes with stuff I already have? And the only place I see it is Brownells for over $100? I wouldn't mind finding just the trigger somewhere, I'm still getting used to squeezing this trigger under the hinge consistantly. Practice, practice, practice:)

It took me a while to figure out what's wrong with your M&P, but I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is. - It's all, .......clean - that'll never do, you need to get to the range and run a case of ammo through it quick. If the other M&P's see yours looking like that they'll point and laugh, don't want the poor thing developing a complex, do you?

Pics with far less bullets in the casings forthcoming:cool:, hopefully after the weekend:).

Any details about the "filing down the followers" would be appreciated, impossible to rack the gun with 10rds in the mags here... way too much pressure, 10rds fits with an effort but that's about it. 9 works good but I've got some filing to do, would love to know what I should do exactly before I start.

Thanks
