G17 Gen.4 issues still present?

Glock35 last week (finally). Sadly though it was made in May2011 - I've already contacted Glock about spring replacement (I could order one, but free is always better).

Have G17 Gen.4 shoot mostly Blazer aluminium case (115g,124g), PMC and factory reload (Centaure). Shot ~4500rds before switching to the new recoil spring. The new spring been through another ~2500rds and I never had any problems with both springs
Pretty sure you will enjoy your new Glock.

Ive got the new RSA and all seems well thus far. Is it only the RSA and the extractor that were changed?? If so id like to get my hands on the new extractor and f'ing be done with this already!!

Ya id rather not be sending it in. I don't understand how the old extractor would not function with the new RSA though! Bottom line is that after 1700 rounds my "old" RSA and extractor gave me no issues whatsoever. New RSA is in at the moment so we'll see how she holds up over time. I was assuming when I bought the damn thing that "perfection" meant peace of mind and no issues, not recalls!

A little over 4500 rounds through mine with no failures. Eats everything I feed it. Recoil spring was replaced shorted after I purchased it.

What about your extractor?

I knew that the RSA had to be replaced but not the extractor. Is it really that much of an issue? What will happen if I don't replace my extractor?

You'll know when you need to replace an extractor, simply due to extraction problems in general :)

I thought it was the ejectors that was the problem. That's why they came out with a new one to replace the 336. They also replaced the 1882's in the Gen 4 G22 with a new one.

Okay so I guess I should post a range report. The extractor pin was portruding about a millimeter out of the plastic part it's in and it was locking my slide on a recoil every now and then. I put some sandpaper to it and have not had any issues sunce. I shot all kinds of ammo and had no ftfs ftes or stovepipes. I love my Glock and can't wait to take it out again.
