the boltcarrier/slide block is completely incompatible between the 780 and a rem 870. The one in the 780 is about 25% smaller than a remington. The only parts that work between a 780 and an 870 without heavy modification, are the fore grip and the stock.

Lets see your pictures....

I did not check to see if the bolts are the same, just the locking block. There is no way that locking block is 25% smaller.

Anyhow, I will measure the bolts later this weekend. I don't think they will be compatible because of the slight differences in the carrier.

ok, not 25% (it has been 3 years since I last looked at it) The main block is about 1/4 of an inch shorter on the 780, and the flat part is 1/4 of an inch longer. (780 top, 870 bottom) the block in the 780, also appears to be cast, where the parts of it blew apart, you can see the crystalline structure of the metal

Also, the 780 had a grand total of 27 rounds put through it before it failed, the 870 slide block, has had at least 1000 rounds, and no issues what so ever.

(yes the right side of each block is aligned with each other, the 870 on the bottom has a taper on that end however, where the 780 is almost square, giving the illusion that it is slightly further to the right)

Had mine out for the first time today! Well worth the $100. I'm having one issue, the extractor won't pull the empty shell out of the barrel after its shot. I tried working the action with shells that were not fired and the extractor pulls them out fine. So it must be a minor snag after the shell expands when fired.I cleaned the crap out of it but it still wouldn't extract. Anyone have similar problem and found a solution?

Got mine 2 weeks ago but never had a chance to open the box till today.
So I took it apart to clean the packing oil out it, I was pleased to see that there was no broken or missing parts in it.
Almost looks like these were taken apart at some point because my shell tube was well scuffed as if someone pumped the hell out of it.....

Oh well I reassembled it and put in 4 dummy rounds rounds to see if it would feed and had no issues what so ever!!
After the 9th time running the 4 dummy rounds through it was when I had my first issue, this is when on my last round the follower came shooting out on top of the lift plate.

So I took the spring out and reinstalled the follower and cycled another 20 rounds through it with no hick ups and then it happened again on my 24th round...
Looks like the follower is a bit too small for the tube and every once and awhile it gets just in the right position to come out.
So not a big deal, I will just keep her loaded then I won't have the issue:D

All in all still well worth the $123.76 shipped to my door although I haven't taken it to the range yet......

Actually I probably will end up selling it before it ever goes to the range....
If anyone is interested drop me a PM.

Mine did the same thing, I solved this by giving it away :p

Well all I can say about mine is that the only failure I've had so far is the follower came out of the mag tube too far and jammed at the bottom. I have since dropped in a no jam follower. Which, ironically enough jams in my 870.
I cleaned mine all up with the dremel and gave it a light sanding and the used a ton of polishing compound on mine and right now it cycles smoother than my 870. My 870 sticks at the bottom of the stroke.
It may die in time but for now, I’m loving beating this thing like a red headed step child!
So far I have almost 100 rounds through it with just that one malfunction.
Cheers,
Trevor

I love how everyone is saying "Its worth the price", and then follow up by saying they are selling it immediately..

Dremmeling, measuring, replacing, re-fitting

FTF, FTEs, broken parts, horrible gritty grindy parts.

Most people are having issues with these, and no amount of "great price" will convince me to buy something that breaks within 100 rounds, or needs extra parts and hours of TLC to make it shoot "okay"

These werent' good at $200, and still arnt worth a dime at $90.

Who is selling them ill take them all at 90 bucks. I got 2 from this deal and they work great i whish i had bought 10 all my friends want them for straping on the quad rack without a case and beat the crap out of them.

Mine works great, I had to put in a nicer mag-follower but, otherwise it works great. I've put about 50 rounds of Remington 00 buck, 50ish rounds of 7.5 target loads and about 10 2 3/4 foster slugs through it without a single malfunction. The bead sight on mine was crooked to the left so I pulled it right off, don't really need one on a shorty like this anyways. I treat it more like a camera "point and shoot" I bought mine just prior to the latest price drop and I still say it was an awesome deal. Makes a great trunk gun, quad gun, plinker, backpacker or whatever.

If you're interested: I fire off 4 different loads through mine in the first 15 seconds of my latest youtube video. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1xL5qbE19o&feature=plcp&context=C333ea9dUDOEgsToPDskKwFQzOm-nECHooyC2jlNpS

There are 10 more guns on the website. I kept 10 back in case my numbers were off on the website...everything is filled now so the 10 are on the website. That is the last of them

I just had my out today for the first time. I was shooting slugs (or trying to). The brand new one is still brand new. The firing pin wasn't hitting hard enough to set off the primer. I fired about 6 slugs out of the used one with no issue then it started doing the same thing. I'm wondering if it's from the cold. I'm going to take them apart and clean them out and see what's going on.
