follow the instructions in the manual. I believe the next thing is to slide the action forwards (can't remember if there is something else little in there) but you have to slide it forwards about 10x harder than you think you need to.
Thanks for the link! Back to getting the gallon of cosmeline off...
Best advice I can give to you is buy yourself 8 litres of mineral spirits and build a cleaning tank(will last forever). I constructed mine out of a 4" ABS drain pipe aprox 36" long and added a 4"x2"x4" Y connector where the 2" is a Y and placed a 2" to 1 1/2" reducer with a twist in valve and a washing machine hose attached to drain the mineral spirits when done. Capped the end off and screwed 'er down to a scrap chunk of wood for stability. Strip the gun down to the nothings throw the bits and bobs into a bucket of spirits soak 'em, brush 'em let dry. Fill 4" pipe and place frame/reciever on a steel coat hanger and lower down for a thorough soak, you can soak the sheet out of it, and all cosmo melts away. Let dry and then oil the sheet out of it all and put it back together. Mine now runs just as smooth as my trusty 870Drain the spirits and filter through cheese cloth and it's very re-usable.
Enjoy![]()

I am going to look into getting that part of the bolt that broke on chico's gun fabricated (long shot) it looks cast which may be why some are snapping. One of my sons is Taking engineering and may be able to take mine and make a design program ,then if I can find a fabricator to mill one out of steel or stainless. Like I said ,a long shot, but I think sooner or later this part will break on most of them.
I think we should also move this thread to the shotgun forum, so we can follow one anothers work at making this puppy more reliable!
I have my hands on some fancy CNC machines and have already spotted some deficiencies which I plan to make some one-off parts for. When everything is done I will post and possibly sell copies if the interest is there. For a cheap shotgun I will obviously try to make cost as reasonable as possible (material + .5hrs of time?) if there is any interest.
Hmmm.... the wife is going to kill me if I start ANOTHER side project before I finish the washroom, but... do you have any pics of your contraption?![]()
Daaaamn! I had problems with ejecting also during my last trip to the range, what did you do to fix this?Pulled mine out of the box today. Cleaned it up, Racked it back 3 or 4 times to insure smooth operation and the extractor broke off. Fml.

I havent yet. I wonder if an extractor from an 870 will work? I bought two of these, one broke before it fired a single round and the other one has so many problems I dont know where to start.
I may just junk these guns. could probably be fixed but it seems like a slippery slope, I dont need to invest 15 hrs into fixing a 89 dollar shotgun.
I think I figured out my problem with my ftf's. I went through it quickly last night and I guess I missed a fair bit of the gunk they come packed in. That, and the fact that sat in -15 in a truck for a few hours probably caused the problems. I'm going to clean it out again tonight and try it out this weekend.
