I totally agree, in fact I am selling off a few guns for that very reason. For people like me who's main interest is hunting that is sound advice, for people who just like to shoot maybe not so. I certainly know a few guys with safes full of unused guns who claim they can't afford to go hunting in Africa.
I'm on both sides. I have more guns than I can shoot, but the second I can't afford a trip there'll be a long ad in the EE. Holidays are the limiting factor now.
The limiting factor for me is holidays and the desire to travel to different spots each year.
The bitter reality is that in order to do something twice, there is something else that I won't get to do at all. Sometimes that's worth it, sometimes its not.
