Bought #27, described as Vetterli-Vitali Model 70/87 in 10.5 mm in fair condition.

Turned out to be Model 70/87/15 in 6.5x52 Carcano in good plus condition and should clean up nicely. Good part is that it is marked AOI on the butt stock.

AOI is "Africa Orientale Italiana" or Italian East Africa. 1936 to 1941, until the Italians decided to attack the British in British Somalia in 1940. Bad idea as the British attacked back, and it was all over by November, 1941.
