no, light oil, i degreased it with Spray9 and applied Ballistol Oil. damn thing has too many parts lol its my first 1911 and so far loving it.
 
i had to part with one of my Garands to get these deals. but ey 2 other garands are just sitting in the vault its addictiv and you want more and more and moreeeeee:dancingbanana:

Just got mine today too (NP-29)! Damn that thing was heavy. Took it out to the range to have some fun. One of the mags eventually stopped accepting more than 4 rounds... I'll probably take it apart later. The other mag fed fine-ish. Bought a Wilson ETM 9mm to make sure things worked well... they kinda did.

Had a few failure to feeds and a couple of failure to ejects, and one double feed. Woohoo! We'll see how she handles when she wears in a little. Planning on doing quite a bit of tinkering with it eventually.

Surprisingly accurate too! I was punching large holes all night.

pictures were taken in different angles so the sight seems smaller but those serrations are less. maybe old picture of the same pistol. as we all know norico is getting better and better everytime they release a new batch something is different .but hey for 300 im not going to complaint the quality of the finish is pretty good. im going to shoot it on sunday and will let you guys know how it did.

When they said the ammo was packed in wooden crates,
I had visions of it coming packed loose in wood boxes.

Question... I got the tracking number for mine, but it is prefixed with "AMMO ONLY". I am assuming this means that the 1911 will ship separately? Can anyone else confirm if their tracking number had the same prefix? If it is separate, will I receive the trackng number for the 1911 once it ships?

i didnt even get a tracking number the only number i got was the refrence number.and i got both in one box

I got the same message on my tracking number, I just rec'd my case of ammo but no pistol. Not sure when or how that will ship. I sent an email to ask Paul but I have not heard back yet.
