That lightweight looks good except for the wood stock. Personally, wood stocks are dead. Synthetic stocks offer a far better option with zero negatives.

Zero negatives? Most savage synthetics I've held are flimsier than tupperware. I'd take wood over synthetic for that reason right there.
Im guessing you have not handled the rifle in question. The stock is solid as a chunk of metal. Likely because of the aluminum bedding block. Cant make it flex at all.
Did I read this right? Don't get me wrong the Savage precision carbine is a great bang for the buck. The stock though is nothing amazing and yes you can make it flex quite easily. Hell, you can make a McMillan flex.
The gun is a great bang for the buck. However, it is far from being perfect and there is not doubt the stock is the weakest link.
Seriously it is a good shooter and heavy.
