Both being shipped so I have no pictures, already wondering how to attach it. The rifle is standard, th scope is a Leupold vx3 66490 with a 30mm tube. Also thinking about a bipod for the front. Ideas?
Rails and notch would't help. The only way to mount a modern scope on a svt require bubbaing the rifle..... Easier rifle to scope than a svt unless its an ex-sniper since repro mount and scope are available.Does your SVT have scope rails and a scope notch?

To be precise, they have thoses until end of 1942SVT-40s up until 1941 had the rails on the receiver for the scope mount.
Also, didn't someone on another similiar thread mention that the SVT receiver walls are too thin drill/tap for a scope mount.
