You cannot cut the barrel below 18". It it is already shorter than 18", you cannot cut it at all. As the barrel on the 10/22 carbine is 18.5", don't touch it. You can replace the factory barrel with a shorter barrel, provided it was manufactured by a licensed manufacturer.
You can install it yourself if you can field strip the rifle and turn a wrench the right way.
Hoytcanon, you never miss a chance to show those off, do ya? I'm not complaining, other than everytime I see one of those, I get a little closer to building one for myself. They sure are pretty!
