Looks good. Glad you pimped out a Chinese SKS and not a Russian. It bugs me when folks ruin a perfectly good russian SKS.
Enjoy it!!!![]()
Well nothing is ruined, I saved all original parts so i can always bring it back to original, are there are good scope mounts you can get for the sks, i thought about tapping and mounting a rail but then i wont be able to use brass sights anymore.
So I got me a couple of Chinese SKS' so i decided to keep one completely stock and then pimp out the other one.
I put
ATI 6 position folding stock
bipod
tapco 30/5 mag
and new receiver with scope mounts
still need to find a scope

If you can undo it, no foul. If you use a reciever cover mount, file it so it barely fits on, and it will be acceptable for 100m or so use, on little or no magnification. Anything beyond that is unreasonable for a device coming off and on for cleanings. I would suggest a red dot type sight, that you zero to the iron sights, once you are happy with their accuracy. Stay away from anything past 4x!
