Can I ask how does a muzzle break fall under ITAR rules?
I mean I heard of flash hidders but now muzzle breaks (AKA FLAME THROWER in this case)
Don't even want to talk about my sig grip screw's cause thatz just really screwy 1.

Brownells would not ship me a JP enterprises brake, which is like a howitzer, :D as the state department has it listed as a "significant military item" go figure!

Try Equipment Exchange for Mil and black rifles ,I think I came across one for sale for around 240$.
I inquired about a couple of things to order from my local gun store since you can't(I couldn't anyway) get them myself, but I got the impression they didn't want to deal with importing because of the paperwork. I shop out of town mostly now for Magpul ,Badger,ARMS etc.

Sorry to jump in and give you guys some more homework. The “is a suppressor mount” has to be a joke. Google Gemtech and then we have the std A2 birdcage as a suppressor mount. That is not the answer. Suppressor mounts are not cover by any bs law here or the state could give a fudge about them. SIG SAUER SRT kits are gunsmith only in the states and looks like Questar has them for sale. So i will say by fall these flash hiders will be everywhere but for now are hard to find. And to the guys enforcing laws that don’t exist this brings back memories of the older guys crying at the range about the AR15s being machine guns .......all just hot gas. Cheers

All the SF muzzle devices are ITAR controlled, FH or MB. 'Not for Export' != 'Illegal to own'.

I'm not saying it's a good reason, I'm just saying that's why. ITAR has always been full of BS.

Surefire flash hiders are "illegal to own"?

News to me.

There's going to be a lot of people going to jail, I guess. Laugh2

Link please as ITAR controls exports not possessions.

'!=' means 'does not equal'. Sorry, I assumed people got past high school math.

=/= (not equal to) as I recognize it.
Then again I didn't do my high school math on the internet.

on topic: I think anything 5.56 can not be exported. like the PWS FSC556 aka the PWS FSC223
