2012 Member Saskatchewan Gopher Shoot.

I am thinking of trying to make it this year.

Greg

We have a special spot set aside for you. It's about 2 miles west on the gravel road away from any spontaniously inflammable objects. :p

Are there any places left for this, I would love to meet a few people and shoot some gophers too!!
Cheers Matt

Yes.

So I was going to build a really nice hanging target for us out there.
I jus went out in the alley to get the grader blades that would have made up the frame, but some f@cker stole them!
Seriously! What's wrong with people!!!

Just use what we where using last yearn railroad cross tie plates, might still have one kicking around and a I think we left one there as well.

I have 23 12"x12"x1" steel plates in my garage. I was going to donate a few to the cause, and make my self some targets.

They were all free to me, but they take up space and are heavy as hell! I'd like to get rid of a few.

Oh. And the "smack" sound these things make when they are hit by, say, a .358 Norma mag makes all the work worth it! :)

So I just met an amazingly nice and generous man through work. We got to talking about guns and he invited me over to see his toys. Ended up leaving with a Lee press, universal case trimmer, powder scoops, powder scale, primer tool and Lee reloading manual, that he had duplicates of from a friend.

He just gave it to me, I almost s**t myself.

Anyway, I seem to remember Kevin talking about a excellent recipe for 6mm Rem that he had that I'm all ears for, if you care to share. My 6mm is definitely making the trip this year.

Oh well, thanks anyhow. I still have lots of time to work something up.

I'll just have to bring enough Ballantine's, to get you wrecked enough to remember.

Okay. Wipe the smile off your face and that "stuff" off your chin. Try 45 grains of Varget, and remember I drink rum! Lol

Good find on the reloading setup! I need to make friends like that!

Perverts. Sighted in my 220 swift today. You know those steel spinners they say will take a 30-06? We shot one of those with everything from a 222 to a 405 WCF, and it didn't even dent it. A 52 amax from a 220 swift punched through half inch steel like a hot knife through butter. Think I'm in love.

The 220 is awesome.

I still would like to get my hands on a .218 Bee though...
What was that lever action you brought last year? Was that a 25-20?
