Having a Revolver just to have one?

Keep it or sell it and buy another one that is more interesting to you.

I have 3 Glock's, 3 1911's, a .22 pistol and a S&W 460V:D

I am a semi auto fan but something about the 460 called out to me so I found one on the EE and made it mine. I have never regretted it and will never sell it.

I always bring a few HG's to the range. Usually two semi's(9&45) and my 4.2" Redhawk. The revolver always draws the interest of the "young" shooters who rarely see these dinosaurs in action.
My revolver would be one of the last pieces I sell...if I ever had to get rid of my toys.

Its a nice looking gun for sure, id like to have one but the ammo is pricey and i dont reload yet.

I'm not crazy for revolvers, my dad used to have one and I didn't really like it all that much. But I've been interested in getting a S&W Model 10-5 for a while. I really like the looks of it. I don't want it really as a shooter, just a piece of my collection. Something about the .38 special. So yeah, I'd say I would like one just for the sake of having one. Although not economical, the ammo isn't all that expensive either.

Sad part is I saw a great looking one in the EE the other day for a rather good price. But I had no money...and someone had already bought it. :p

I have bought and kept (still do) guns, "just because". I traded my 4.2 GP100 stainless for a S&W 27 that I know I will hardly shoot because it is blued and I want to keep it in mint condition. But I have always wanted a 27 and it is a keeper.

Sure is sweet isn't it? Probably one of the nicest 27's I've ever seen and way cleaner than my other 27. Of course my other one is a custom gun and is too butter smooth to ever sell. Your old Ruger shoots pretty decent too..... :p

Revolvers....

'Course you really shouldn't only have just one...

Darn things can breed like flies..... :p

It's been to the FtMac range, too bad you weren't there the day I brought it out or you could have tried it.
Prob won't be going there any more though since I let my membership expire because I'm transferring to Edmonton in May.

Ohh, what a purty sight, .... got me jonesing for my old 19 four inch .357,(lost to divorce long before all this "prohib" BS)
Help an old coot out, whats the closest Smith I can get these days to my old first love?.

Find a 6" model 19 and have it cut to 4 1/4"

I have a model 15 done like this

after your eyes go fuzzy and your back gets sore from picking up auto brass, what else is there?- a SCOPED double action-i'm not talking anything "heavy" here , just either a red dot or a low power ( up to 4) ler

i think a guy has to have multiple wheelguns

a classic smith

a colt "snake" anaconda, king cobra, python or all of the above

a ruger gp 100

a ruger single action

a smith 44 mag 629/29

a large "big bore" revolver is a must even if you don't shoot it , but if you can afford to keep it, such as a 460 or 500 smith

and fianally a oddball piece such as a taurus judge for example

Yup.

Don't know if you guys will flame me for this (flame suit on though!), but I'm getting a Judge for this exact reason. Plus its really cool.

That, and if I ever find a S&W Model 10, I'll drain the accounts if I have to.

I was shooting a lot of 9mm which is a smaller practical caliber from my Glock 17 and wanted to shoot a more robust gun with a larger bore so I bought a .500 S&W!

I have a GP100, its a nice break from automatics at the range. I might even get the Ruger Blackhawk combo with .357 mag and 9mm barrels. Might fit my wifes hands better. Also there is a nice feel to unload spent casings and put it back in box for reloading.
