I've had a few revolvers over the years, but I'm a semi auto guy at heart. I still have a .357mag 686 4.2" that I got because I though it's a cool gun, but I'm just not using it that much. Is there a point to keep it just so I have a well rounded 'collection' or should I sell it because I know I wont be shooting it much?
I know there are many other shooters in the same boat, what do you think?
I like revolvers for shooting in winter, saves picking brass out of the snow and they offer a nice change of pace from semi's all the time. I say keep it just to have one.

Ever think of using it for IDPA?
It's a hoot! The more people shooting wheelguns the better!
As Clint says "wheelguns are real guns"
(or you could sell/trade it to me...)
Well, I just bought my first revolver yesterday. I've came close a few times in the past on some 686's and that XL Hunter, but just never could pull the trigger so to speak.
A buddy showed me the M&P line of SW Revolvers. The R8 peaked my interest and although a rail seems kinda weird on a revolver, to me it was a hybrid of classic meets modern. I like how beefy it looks and the matte black was the final nail...
I'm pretty excited to see this thing in person, I've never shot one either so I feel like I'm walking into the unknown...
To be, shooting and owning a revolver is a lot like driving a standard; it only seems inconvenient, and hard work to those who don't get it.
Only problem is that I have too much time behind semi autos and am scared of blowing my thumb off by putting it near the cylinder!!
That's how I ended up with a .44mag as my second gunI regretted selling it after...
