First hand impressions of HK MR223?

From my extremely limited shooting of this rifle I think is no.

you think no? does the trigger pull back slightly, then stop and a further pull will fire it?

the new ones should have a two stage..

is there somewhere that shows the HK build date codes so i can check around who has the newest model. i'd be very tempted to buy this if it now has interchangeable upper and i'd fit a HK416 upper...

I only shot 2 rounds so I cannot remember.....

so if the mr223A1 now fits onto any other AR lower, how have H&K managed to send them out of germany?
i thought the whole reason they didn't fit was germany's govt don't allow them to be exported if they fit with other military rifles.

but in theory now, it looks like the MR223A1 lower would accept a HK416 upper?

If the rifles are coming out of HKUSA then that would explain it, or HK f**ked up and went to far as usual with being to compliant with there anti-gun idiots in Germany.

I don't think so, it does not mean it would not be coming out of HKUSA, many of the parts are still made in Germany.

For the cost of the 416 upper you would be better off cutting the MR223 barrel down, apparently it is off no big deal.

I remember Greentips saying way back to not touch the barrel though.

the HK usa ones say made in usa on them. and they won't export from usa to canada, hence why canada gets the european mr223 instead as canadian dealers deal with HK germany. hk usa doesn't play well with others, especially canadians...

its obviously something they have changed recently as there are some guys on HKPRO forums sporting the new MR223A1...

and yes the MR223A1 will gig with the HK416

All i can say HK leaves a lot of people owning the MR223 with headache....

If they do come out with other configurations, say uppers and lower they will not be compatible.

What about the BCG on the MR223A1 is it a 416 FA ?

just got off the phone with the guys at Wolverine... it is in fact confirmed that all MR223's being imported into Canada will now be MR223A1's and they are from Germany.

if anyone is deciding to purchase one, remember to ask specifically for the A1 version (as many stores still have the older versions in stock):dancingbanana:

i thought the same thing as well... my biggest concern would be that now H&K Germany is in full production with the A1's, i wonder how hard it will be to get replacement parts for rifles with the old style pin placement!!!! yikes

funnily enough i was just one the phone to them having the same discussion 30 seconds ago..

so the question remains, how are the germans allowing this?

its also a shame that for $4000 they don't even include any sights... i believe the usa models do..

I want to know the individual in Germany that is responsible for this, what an idiot.
