Taurus Judge. Ok, I am totally facinated by this gun. The .410/45 colt options really intrigues me. It looks like it fell from the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, but I really am thinking of buying one. A couple questions though.....

1) I saw on a Youtube review that there is .410 handgun ammo. Will ANY .410 ammo work in the Judge? Slugs and / or shot?

2) Are Taurus firearms well built? Good quality, etc......

The gun seems to run around $600.00, will this be money well spent?

Thanks.

Other than the novelty of it, it's not that great. As a shotgun, it's lacking. As a bullet shooter, it's lacking again. While it probably fills a niche somewhere, as a general purpose gun I'd look elsewhere.

I believe all the models are chambered for the 2.5" shells.

Watch the Hicock45 video. Probably just piss someone off if you shot the wrong 4/10 shell at them.

Taurus is generally not know to be good. I've never owned one, just going on what I have read. Maybe someone with experience will chime in.

Personally if you are looking for a weird\ugly gun. Look at the Rhino. It doesn't shoot shotgun shells buts its strange.

My buddy in the us bought one I think it was $300... It was fun to blast pumpkin in his yard.... But I don't think I'd ever buy the cdn version....

But guys.... come on...

It is a SHOTGUN REVOLVER...

How cool is it to just say those two words in a sentence? :D

Agreed

I have a Judge.

Everyone likes to check it out when I bring it to the range.

I consider it one of my "because I can" possessions.

ok *sshole (folks im drunk postin this plus kevin an i are friends).

Let me set the record straight here. like its been posted, its a sh*tty shotgun and a sh*tty pistol. If we could carry then (and if we could get it in the short, er proper length, barrel version) then yes it'd be a good glove box gun in are you get car jacked. HOWEVER anything past 5ft in front of yer face and the shot is useless. On top of that, the accuracy of .45lc ammo (from what I've experienced on kevinm's gun) is not spectacular even at short (think 15 yrd) distances. So I would say buy it but don't expect great results from it at the range cause thats not what it was built for, it was built for (I'm dirt mcgirtn' this here) dustin' foo's fo sho'!!!!

It is so clear you are drunk posting it is unbelievable.

While you may not be able to trip and still hit the ground, this gun is more then capable of punching cloverleafs at that distance if you do your part. 410 is for the close in carjacker/ snake defence work. 45LC is for when you want to deal with the big boys and put the kids to bed. :p

i bought mine (secondhand) because of the cool factor, not to shoot people or zombies, it is quite accurate with the .45's, its fit and finish is +9, cool factor+10, its as gansta as the clint avatar i have selected!
p.s. if ur drunk and trying to pick a fight on the internet.......seek help

Not as practical but I like the snake slayer better. As for practical , for God sake we are in Canada practical is not a option.
The hit you get when firing .410 of a snake slayer is pretty amazing and brutal

Just got one because of the "why not?" factor. And to be able to say of course...shotgun and revolver in one sentence. haha. Bringing it home today and will post at a later date after a few rds go through it.

I had one last year for the same reason other guys bought one..."its a handgun that shoots .410 shotgun shells!!!" after about 3 range trips the novelty wore off and i sold it onto the next feller. it was cool to have but got old fast. it shot 45LC like a champ, but didnt fancy those cheap .410 shells. the gun wouldnt cycle and i had to turn the cyclinder by hand.

I have two and a circuit judge, it's pretty cool toy at the range, but so are all of my pistols, AR's, basically any restricted is whether or not it has real life purpose or not. Would I use it for ipsc or comps? No, would I use it for pest and varmint control if I could? Yes, it would work awesome for closer ranges. Is it fun shooting fruit and paper? Yes, is it worth 5-600? Sure, fit and finish is good, but ugly as hell with that 6" barrel.

Great novelty gun and for sure just because.
I have had mine for a couple of years and really like it.
If you live in the country, and have gophers, they could be considered pretty fun to have for the "close in" gophers.
Just sayin - heard it from a friend of a friend of a friend.
