The Judge

Agreed

I have a Judge.

Everyone likes to check it out when I bring it to the range.

I consider it one of my "because I can" possessions.

but if you're going for a wheel gun that's a "because I can" thing, step up and get a 500S&W or even a 460S&W that way you still have the 454/.45LC options

now THAT will bring in an audience at the range

yep, I take both out and members usually crowd around.

i always wanted a Judge.
but when i saw the abortion that we can only get in canada (6" barrel) i just could not bring myself to get one.
short barrel - i would have one in a instant because its neat
long barrel - ugliest gun ever made (IMHO - which dosnt count for much)

if i lived in the states id have one in every vehicle i owned.

what the american get

The guns neat to shoot but its a joke. You should still get one because they are a neat widget.

The 410 shells loose alot of power out of the short barrel, beware if your target backstop is plywood and the shooting lanes have a tin roof, people will think theres a hail storm. Got rid of it and got a snake slayer, mostly because at the time it was the only one that took a 3 inch shell and I always wanted a derringer.......same story with the #7 shot hail storm. Its main attraction is the wierd loads you can cook up in the hulls, buckshot, flattened buckshot, seeds, black powder and confettie all make for a good laugh. My favourite load was a blown out 303 shell loaded with random junk from the junk drawer like curtain chain and crayon stubbs.

Was really looking forward to getting a circuit judge, looked like a gopher gun supreme............alas it ended up restricted so no dice.
