I wanted to ask someone who has a lot of experience with this rifle...
Just to preface, I shoot a lot of .223 out of a mini 14, but I wanted to move up to something a bit bigger and grabbed an m305 nice and cheap.
I know it's stamped .308, but I've read a lot of smart-sounding people saying that without a USGI bolt you can really run into some problems firing commercial .308... everything from slam fires upon chambering to bolt failures due to .308 being higher pressure than 7.62 NATO.
Essentially, I wanted to hear form someone else who owns the rifle and has fired a lot of .308 without incident... That's all.
thanks.
