Which brake. How does it do with the recoil? I'm considering a brake on mine. Doesn't need one when shooting off hand, but when shooting benched it jumps a fair bit.
I would have thought the recoil would have been worse due to the fact you are focusing the energy straight in front you, the shooter.
I think I'll throw a XB1 on for hunting season with hot heavy loads I thought the concussion had knocked my fillings out.
Does anyone have an issue and solution to the problem of ejected brass dinging the barrel? Took my RFB to the range for the first time on Sunday. Very accurate, reliable functioning, light recoil.
Don't like the brass marking the barrel and not easy to get the right optic and mount option. Also found my cheek a bit tender after shooting.
You could use heat tape like the target/400lb range sniper guys do. I can't really see how brass dribbling out of the end could do much in the way of damage. If all else fails you could lube the s**t out of it with G96. it will help the brass slide off your barrel.
Mine is a hunting rifle, like many on here, and as such with most of my rifles.....it's already been dropped. I fully expect to fall/land on/smash into trees/drown and drop mine this fall.
