Some may have good dealings with Korth but i have a very poor dealing with Korth. I will explain:
I first contacted Korth in December 2011 about a custom Mark 4 turret. I showed him a picture and a detailed explanation as to the operation of the turret. He said it was doable. So the first turret came, and there were laser engraving quality issues. Numbers were different sizes. I called him, he told me to send it back and he will make a new one. I though to myself, why can you let a quality issue like this pass through your door? The second turret came, and it was engraved backwards to the operation of the turret. I called him again, frustrated, i asked him why he did not follow the picture and description i sent him. Even though the first turret sent was engraved for the correct operation. This time i asked him why quality issues like this pass though his door. He took offence to this and the rest of the phone call was taken not very professionally. I ended up asking to have another turret made, when i send back this one. I had also sent a Cad drawing with it, depicting what it should look like, and a description of all the details i would expect from a professionally made product.
Well the turret was sent back more than a month ago, delivered and all. No phone call, no communication from him. So i called him multiple times, different days. All i got was to go to voice mail or the receptionist told me he was not in. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to see if they can get a hold of him.
This has been a long stretch for just a turret (i still do not have it though). To me, there were too many quality issues and bad customer service. I know if i need service on my mark 4, i will be sending down to the states as i am not confident the quality is up to par with what i expect.
Right now i am in $130 for a $78 turret.
Please do not use this thread as an outlet for flaming or the like. I am just posting my experiences and conclusions from my dealings with Korth.

Have you taken your complaint to Leupold directly? If their sole Canadian distributor/service depot is jerking you around, I'd let them know.

Korth / Leopold pissed me off as well.

Apparently if you buy a Leupold product from Bass Pro within Canada, and there's a problem, Korth doesn't deal with it, it has to be sent back to the USA.

Why Korth and/or Leoupld would set their warranty system up like this is beyond me.

Myself and many others have been dealing with them for 25 years with no issues great service, communication and products. They won't warrenty a US imported scope as they posted on their website over a year and a half ago as to do so would condone ITAR infractions under US export laws.

Simple explanation you just can t please everyone all the time even if you try.
For the most part they have been doing a great job. Going to the BBB seems a bit tacky. Either you give them a chance to fix it or you complain on the forum and to the better business bureau.

Do you want it resolved or just want to complain to someone/ everyone.

If you had read my original post, you might note i have given them 2 chances to fix the problem. The situation had only been getting progressively worse. Read before you type.

Hmm, really sucks that you have had such a poor experience. I find it very surprising, I deal with them all the time and they have always been excellent.

Complete and utter cop-out, BS X10! If they can't ream you on the price, they ream you on refusal of service. Take your money else ware.

It's also very tacky to shoot your mouth off when you dont know what you are talking about. Pssst, referring to you. Read the whole post next time, you wont look so silly then.

Bushnell honours warranty on all their products regardless of where they were purchased, no problems. Just seems silly not to. No matter what BS they try and sell me I agree it is just a cop out.

When was the type of day you called them? I wonder because i try just as they open up shop (considering the time zone difference) and i tried close to closing time. I always got his voice mail or he is not there.

This is a Bass Pro thing. They're too stupid to understand things like distribution rights and export rules so they just do whatever they want.

Korth never sees the stuff on the shelf at bass-pro. So they don't support it, it's not their product. Bass-pro bypasses them and just rolls their gear across the border in trucks.

Sorry to say it, but if your going to buy from an American company, then you'll have to do your warranty work in America.

:agree: I agree... that's the price of saving a few bucks.

Still pretty greasy. Its a leupold product.

So Korth should have a monopoly and charge whatever they want...nice. Boy would I like a business like that.
