I would be very surprised if there are more than one or two up here, if any. It didn't go into full production because it was too expensive to manufacture compared to the competition (AR-15/AR-18, and that other SAR-something made in Singapore), so it was rapidly superseded by the FNC.
There were US approved semi-auto versions for the civilian market so some could certainly have made it up here, and its status would have depended on barrel length, since it would have been late '80s/pre C-68.
It also used a proprietary mag rather than AR/STANAG mags. If there ARE any restricted/semi auto versions up here, they would have sold for over a thousand back then, god knows what you would have to pay now.
That said, if someone stuck one on the EE, I would definitely have a look and shake my piggy bank...
