PDW builds - Lets see them, and share results

Another PDW, B&T TP9 (wish I had never sold it.) Although, does a pistol caliber count as a PDW?

And another I used to own...Norinco Type 97 (carbine). We all know that sad story. I believe it was only 26 inches long, if I recall correctly...

What ever happened with those 97's (not to hijack)? Is/was there a plan to reimburse, etc etc? The TP9 is far more along the lines of PDW than what we're seeing here, even if pistol cal.

confiscation, without compensation.

Some of us did receive compensation. That "compensation" was 100% due to the s**t storm raised by members of the CGN community. I'm very thankful for their support. It didn't fully cover the cost. I would much rather have my friggen rifle.

The T97 carbine was nice. Very compact, only a few inches longer than a P90, but with a 12 inch barrel, so ballistics were actually decent. Mag release and safety were goofy though.

There was no fun mode. Not on my rifle or any of the NR/R ones imported. Apparently illegal conversion to FA was easy with this rifle, but they were NOT FA rifles. The RCMP reclassified them due to the ease with which they could be converted.

Sure, "hidden" fun mode... (that's what I was referring to with the 3-second FA conversion). Nice TP9, btw; love everything about it except for the 5-round limitation...

Ultimate PDW

/// Totally worth the registration certificate ///
Time to resurrect this thread (sorry for the lack of quality; I just snapped these quickly). These are the upgrades to the 5.5" stock Kriss Super-V: LaRue LT-Fug grip (stubby mode), Gear Sector hand stop, Kriss side rail with Gear Sector QD sling mount, Kriss push-pin QD mount, Kriss/SureFire M80 kit with pressure pad and EOTech 511 sight.

^^Wow! Nice piece of kit.

If I could submit, (and this is just circle jerk talk here in Canada anyway), I wouldn't use folding sights on a PDW. The nature of the PDW is that it should be ready for an extremely rapid response to a threat. If your optic goes down (and that is likely to happen with your Eotech there..:D:nest:), I'd want the fastest transition to irons available. A set of DD A1.5 sights are in order here sir!:D

Thanks! This is what a PDW is meant to be! If it came in full-auto with 30-round capacity I'd be in seventh heaven right about now... (I'll just have to settle for 10-rounds ;) ).

The Kriss folding stocks come standard, but truth be told one can always leave the sights in the "up" position as it's actually a rather nice co-witness right now with the EOTech. If by 'goes down' you mean running out of juice, I suspect you may be right (although I really like this particular EOTech model).
