PDW builds - Lets see them, and share results

Thats one bad ass rig!

Do they shoot as good as people claim? (in regards to the massive reduction in recoil claimed)

I had the opportunity to shoot one, i would say yes, but its already a heavy carbine shooting a pistol round, in semi-auto you won't see that much off a difference, probably more useful for full-auto firing

curious where you guys buy the heavier buffers. None of the sponsors keep stock of non standard buffers. (okay maybe questar once in a while)

I doesn't make sense to use a heavy buffer on a short barrel, the pressures are going to be lower because of the shorter distance the projectile has to burn the propellant gases hence the huge muzzle flash from short barrels. The C7A2 has a 20" barrel and uses an HH buffer.

No - that's incorrect; there's actually higher pressure on shorter ARs. That's why a heavier buffer can compensate by slowing the BCG, reducing wear and tear, felt recoil, etc.

Just to help illustrate further... Anyway, I'm going to leave the buffer debate to people more knowledgeable. My PDW build and many of the specific components that went into it were based on recommendations from those that have far greater expertise than me. I have a new PDW coming next week; I'll post pictures when I get it.
