Starting a nuisance trapping business

You have no idea how tempting that would be in some cases. Chasing families of Raccoons through row house attics is not my idea of fun.

It is my idea of fun!
People always ask me why I am so happy all the time, I always tell them because it's because I love my job. My only fear is getting too old that I have to retire.
This was a large computer room in a factory, 2 companies took a run at these coons before I got the call. Their urine was dropping down on to the mainframes from an attic that was not accessible to people. tens of thousands of dollars of damage and many hours of downtime. Took me 35 minutes to find them, put on my gloves and remove them.
Full grown coons, fished close enough to the hole to grab. That "office space" was constructed over an old window, builder left a 9x9 hole behind the wall that was once a window frame, coons didn't stand a chance. Typically I would call them close enough to grab them, during this contract I had to piss them off until they ran at me in anger.:D I freaking love my job!

Hey Pyd, Where in Ontario were you operating? PM maybe? Maybe you know the fellows I worked with.We operated in a "low-Impact" manner, eg. no chopping holes unless it was absolutely necessarry.

Using the temp gun is a pretty good idea, we had a stethascope for a while until some one lost it. We trapped and hand caught raccoons in a few really interesting and high profile places, but for the most part we let the raccoons do the work for us.

My main point to the OP is that Nuisance wildlife control is not just trapping. Unless you work for a certain few guys who have huge "kill everything contracts" for sensitive areas.

I do from Calidonia to London, lake Erie to the Tri-cities.
I typically don't cut holes either, but sometimes I have to.
The first run of pictures I posted was a quick job to fix another companies mistake. They came in and put in a "One way door" to flush the mother, it failed. The mother went to a random spot on the roof, tore up a layer of Mod-u-lock" roofing, a layer of shingles, a layer of plywood then in to the attic to have her kits, by the time the dust settled their repair bill including the restoration company (mold) was well over $10,000. They were leaving for Europe for their daughters wedding and were not interested in me taking my time, the restoration company sat on the road waiting for me so they could start.
Typically I catch mom then sweet talk her in going and getting the kits for me, time permitted.
Those "One way doors" other companies use pay for my mortgage, used by those who don't know how to trap. In this event the original company that was responsible for coons behaviour refused to return their call. Half my jobs are fixing other companies mistakes, or handy man husbands.
This year I am filming all with a body mounted video camera.
I took the pictures that I posted just for liability, in both those situations there were lawyers involved.

My experience 100%, mind you I did it for a fraction of the time you did, but I worked with a fellow with alot of experience. I can count on one hand the number of jobs we trapped at. 1-way doors were our bread and butter , for raccoons with mobile babies, we saw non-mobile babies until almost august. We didn't trap because you are shooting a gift horse, momma knows how to break in and will continue to if you catch my drift. We were a "humane" removal company which meant we could charge more and the hippies would call us too.

Before I state my opinion on "one way doors", am I to assume you have no financial interest in this field anymore? I don't want it to be personal. I do have an opinion.
