NEA-15 after 400 Rounds Fired **Pic Heavy**

Our 14.5" demo gun has done just over 5000 rounds with out any issues. (one of the first rifles)

The gas rings will be replaced shortly though.

Nothing but grief with the ones here.

Jdman ,generalisations aren't a good thing and I call B/S on that comment.

Our 10.5 has just over 4000 rounds through it with no issues either.

I don't care which high volume manufacturer you take , at some time there will be a piece of machinery giving crap.

NEA is new in the market , there will be one or two hi-cups. The speed at which they sort them out is the issue.

From what Ive experienced and seen on the forum , NEA cant be faulted.

But hey , please don't buy their guns. Will make my life a whole lot easier.

You must not see the one or two issues that come up, each and every week with NEA.
There is not one or two hiccups as you put it, but a seemingly never ending array of problems with them.

I was very excited for a Canadian company to put out AR's for cheaper than the others, however not if the Ar's are crap, and dont even work.

Look at their forum, there is a never ending list of ##### threads about "issues".

First was the mild steel? BCG's, then it was 20# trigger springs, Then it was a buffertube issue, sorry wrong buffertubes,
Then today there seems to be yet another buffer tube issue.
Another one today was a guy who got his rifle, but it has no BCG at all!

they are sure quick to point fingers, about why these issues are coming up, frankly i dont care why they are happening, it is the fact that they are happening in the first place that bugs me.

Jesus christ man, hire some brain dead moron to check each and every rifle over top to bottom, BEFORE you sent the damn things out!

There is a reason gun companys test each firearm before they are sent out.

I can only imagine the bloody shipping these guys are paying, back and forth. :slap:

1. You are right about hiccups, they happen and, credit where credit is due, NEA does have great CS from what i've seen.

2. Completely disagree with the second statement. NEA is at fault for most of their hiccups. Poor quality control, poor quality control and poor quality control. It seems that NEA is a victim of their own success. They are pumping out so many rifles (and that doesnt seem to meet their demand) that they do not have the ability to do a thorough inspection on their guns. They are/were getting parts from new to them suppliers who provided substandard parts and NEA did not have the time to properly test those parts. The fault is on NEA as they are the final manufacturer.

Their biggest problem right now is the distrust of the members of this forum for their shilling incident, it will not be forgotten anytime soon. As well as the bashing of their Canadian customers on another forum. I doubt it ruined or even affected their Canadian sales but im sure a few members here feel that it was a very very wrong move on their part.

With that being said, with all the issues that do come up i havent yet heard of a problem which was not taken care of, hell a guy at my range got a new upper because he was having problems with his original one.

Do i own a NEA AR-15? no i don't, id buy one from their first batch as it seems those were the least problematic.

Will i buy one? Yes eventually, when their sales slow down a bit and they can ensure that the rifles coming off the line are of the standard they have set for themselves.

In the end it is unfortunate to see this company suffer. They've done great things for the Canadian AR market and im sure for a lot of overseas markets as well. A few years ago an AR for under $1000 was unheard of, now they are popping out left and right, and thats great to see. I wish nothing but the best to NEA, i just hope they can achieve and maintain a certain level of quality and not lower themselves to the level of "other dealers" (as they said) and pull another gunbunny.

I think SFRC offers them without a BCG (im sure other dealers as well). Either the poster made a mistake and ordered one without the BCG, or the dealer shipped the wrong one, or it fell out at the factory

I was definitely supposed to get a BCG. I'm not sure who's error it was and don't really care as long as I get one in a timely manner.

Good news is that the rifle passes function tests with the carrier out of my Norc. There is no interference with the buffer tube or anything like that and seems to feed and eject snap caps no problem.

Wanted to do a range report Sunday, but I'll wait until I have the proper BCG before I shoot it.

There is nothing worse than having a new gun and not being able to use it. Hope it gets sorted out.

You can't even buy a colt anymore unless you count .22 LR. :puke: f**k colt.

Those are only Colt branded. The .22 1911s and ARs look like they come from Umarex in Germany. The US site for those Colts is even branded as such http://www.colt22rimfire.com/

Before finding that out, I was wondering how they had managed to export the 10.5 inch CQB model from the states.

Did you order a complete upper only or the whole rifle?

It was a complete rifle.

Apparently not!!! :(

That's the new go fast operater version. It's lighter and faster so you can surprise your target. Speed is increased dramatically to the point where you will never have to shoot. They usually charge extra for such tactical features.
