NVG Gen3 : where?

img1827a.jpg

I know if I had to lose ethier a C6 GPMG or a set of NVGs "I would lose the C6, I will get in less trouble lol"

The US can cut off anyone they want "so if you lose gen3 NVG tubes and they find out, They can ban all NVG exports to the Canadian Govt."

As for civi's good luck and if you do find some "never even think of bring them down south and back

So much BS in this thread, it's almost comic. CGN at his best :HR:

Anyway for those interested in GEN3 NVG, no fear of black helicopters: you can legally buy and own them in Canada. No black market or shabby back alley business, but by regular and reputable stores that won't ask you your secret squirrel ID.
Google is your friend.
I am out of there

And being spread by a supporting retailer nonetheless.

we can provide a us made housing with Gen2+ photonis tube, which is better then most gen III o nthe market , with out an an end user cert.
many police forces in the US and canada are using this, as wel las the UK MOD.
I would put a genII+ photonis tube up against 80% of the Gen III out on the market.
price is good too!

What housings are you using, bbb?
Thred Resurrection

what im saying is that many of the countrys that sell NV have restrictions of selling gen III, I.E. UK, holland, spain swiss.
as well as many others, that want to do biz with the US or any major nato country will not sell genIII to the public for fear of pissing off the US goverment.
I counld provid a Photonis Gen II plus in a US houseing for less then $3k that would work as well as many of the Gen III on the market.
Half the worlds NV makers are using Photonis tubes.
bbb

This is how I understand it too. It's not that Canadian law requires an end user cert, but most manufacturers require them for other reasons.

BBB has made it clear that it's not a legal requirement, but good business practice. You can't go and piss off the U.S. then dealing in these sorts of things, and have a profitable business for long. Plus, the U.S. could severely f*ck the Canadian govt on NVG exports if they wanted to (i.e. Canadian NVG manufacturers selling Gen III equipment to civvies).

Again, not law, but "good business policy".

From a buyer experience, nobody asked me anything, just my VISA #
That's why I call BS.
Ask those kids at Airsoft Canada about their user cert :D

I'm sure they would be happy to lol

They seem to have their own little inner circle going on there. People wonder why they wont put up information on the importation of NODs and I think its because they have no idea how to legally.

I know of a few places you can legally get either Dutch or Japaneese Gen 3 tubes in Canada. The monocular you put them in is your choice. The stuff with the US is just that...US.

I legally imported a Gen 2+ tube a couple of years ago, but its old tech from the late 80s.

Never said it was impossible to get, just difficult to find.

As pbr streetgang pointed out, Tactical Imports has Gen 3 NVG in stock, no end user cert required (from what I understand)... However most Gen 3 NVG that dealers have still require an end user cert.

The selection here in England (and Europe) is quite good on NV and thermals. You should see what the varmit guys (license to eradicate nuisance fox and other critters) are packing around where I live. NV and thermal scopes with suppressors are the norm. I plan on a purchase or two of some NV toys before coming home next year.

Confused

:confused:If I'm out in the woods with a GENIII night sight goggle and an LEO stops me they can do what? Call the US and have me charged for an ITAR violation. This makes no sense.

They can't do anything (legally speaking), you haven't done anything wrong nor broken any laws.
