i have one of these rifles in awesome working condition i am thinking about selling. the lower stock has been refinished, other then that it is original. no scope or mount. it does have a groove on the right side for scope bracket.
can anyone give me a opinion of value and the best place to sell something like this.
i also have a 6.5 swed mauser up for grabs,
could someone give me an opinion of value on these rifles and some advise on where to sell them

Sell it here in the Equipment Exchenge. You'll see prices on K43's from about $1800 to about $3500 depending on originality, markings, accessories, etc.

A refinished stock really hurts the collector value. Yours will be at the lower end of that range almost certainly.

:HR: you should of said there going for only around $600 :p

You really need to post pics for the K43.

Is it all Original or an East German Vopo Rework with the X and a Sunburst stamped on the receiver?
 
i dont see any symbols or any x on it.. there is a tiny 214 on the front reciever followed by 2884 the it looks like an inscribed letter d. then its stamped k. 43 qve 45. the bolt also has a 2884 with the letter d.

i know this rifle is not the greatest collector, but it shoots awesome. it was original untill my dad gave it to a buddy, and he refinished the stock and put the recoil pad on. oh well it is what it is. i will let it go at a good price. maybe there are original parts available to make it a good collector..everyone i talk to is telling me 1800 to 4000 and higher with the scope.
so im thinking $2000 is reasonable. im always open to sugestions.. i have a swedish ag42b i will sell for 500 it has a custom scope mounted though so the collector value is trashed on that one to :(
 
That badly spoterized might really hurt the value. I saw one go for as low as $900, which is low as the sum or parts would add up to more than that $900 figure.

Probably the lower end of that $1800-3000 range, and I do mean the low end of that range.
 
i will sell at the low end, prob around the 1800 to 2000 it is spoterized but its a decent shooter in good condition. i will post it in exchange as soon as i can access it.. thank you all for your input.
 
most people on this forum want a collectible not a shooter. personally I don't now anyone willing to pay that kind of money for a rifle that will have to have a new stock.$ 1000. I'm thinking. and a messed with Ag42 is $200. tops.

I didn't wan't to comment but I would say gaff has hit the nail on this one. That being said, I wouldn't pay more than $1800 for a vopo either.
 
Well if anyone wants it i will let it go for 1800 obo , i will put in the exchange as soon as i can get the authorization to do so , i make accrpt trades on a quality 300wm
 
well my curiosity is getting the better of me, i will send it to a gun verifyer i know, i am quite sure it is not a vopo. i will repost the results when i find out.. maybe research the numbers on it and find out where it came from.. cheers :)

Easy to tell if it is a Vopo.

The left side of the reciever where it is stamped qve45 will have a small sunburst stamp with a number on the inside (Sometimes not legiable) and an "x" stamped on either side of the reciever. Other parts such as the magazine, etc. will also be electro penciled and usually the trigger guard for example.

Most Vopo rifles are late WWII production and most are marked duv and qve (same factory but two different codes). Every once in awhile you will see an 'ac' Vopo. Most Vopo's have a wooden handguard or a post was synthetic handguard similar to a duroful handguard. The difference is the post war handguards do not have a commercial maker mark on the inside but sometimes a two digit number. WWII rifles with a synthetic hand guard will have the duroful commercial marking on the inside and a number (single digit) within a dimond. I have never seen an authentic Vopo rifle with a durofol handguard.

If you do get offers for less than $1800 consider them wisely and to other members, no I am not going to be one of those gents. That stock is pretty funky.
