Springfield M1A Mishap

AFAIK the Springfields have a lifetime warranty. Can't really say the same about the Norincos.

Well, since a Norinco is a fraction of the cost of a Springfield, one could buy 2-4 (or possibly more, or so Norincos as full blown spares and it still is cheaper than a single Springfield. Considering that they both are comparable out of the box from a functionality and accuracy point of view, the Nork with a bunch of full blown rifles as spares seems the better choice.

holy smokes...I better sell my Springfield..first $400 takes it..I can't have anything like that in my stable.

I'll take it off :D your hands for $ 400... :)

No seriously, both brands have their plusses and minuses. They are all good!! Now the rest of you could do what I did, and that was to find an M1A receiver on here - EE forum, I mean and then do a build with it. My M1A receiver has a USGI barrel, but all the rest of the parts are Norc M14 and as time goes by, I will add some treelineM14 parts as the $$ is freed up. :D

Cheers,
Barney

HEY!

Yer #### won't fall off to get in line for it buddy!!!

Sorry, just had to... l tried to stop myself, but no: damn fingers typed it before I could stop'em. Laugh2

Yeah, as said: it is good to see no one got hurt. I think is is bad that it happened, but if Springfield gets him a new one at no charge that is more important than anything (since no on was hurt). As Hungry said: Springs and Norcs have good points and bad, and we all know price is the one that gets thrown around every time.
