Wow. I just realized that my PAL application was received and approved before the 28 days waiting period even. Only 23 days from receipt to approval.

That seems really odd, isn't the 28 day waiting period law? Perhaps it was 23days to approval online, but when you get your card take a look at the paper that comes with it and the approval date noted there. I would suspect that date would be the full 28 days.

WOW! Mine went through super speedy as well!!!

Received April 16th,
Appeared online May 4th,
Licence has been issued and is in the Mail May 15th!!! (May have even been mailed the 14th, but I forgot to check the status yesterday!)

rPal?

My time is the same as yours - received April 16th, online My 4th.
I did my interview yesterday, both my references were called as well.
So far no change in my status - still "in progress"

The waiting wasn't bothering me at all.... TILL NOW!! :D

Apr 15 - Tests passed
Apr 28 - App sent
May 3 - Delivery signed for at Miramichi
May 15 - Contacted Ontario CFO for an update, told that they're processing tests from the week of the 18th, so I should have mine back within a week or two
... to be continued

No, Non-restricted... But I was surprised they never phoned my references. Everyone I know has had to interview for their PAL.

Not that I'm complaining!

so i called in again today im upgrading my pal to rpal so i shouldn't have to wait the 28 days. yesterday i called the woman i spoke with said call in 2 days today the woman i spoke with said call in a week. and that my picture had not been scanned into the computer yet...that doesnt wash with me. if everything is there scan the fricken pic? just like the office at my work they are useless paper pushers. they have had my application april 23rd appeared online may the 4th(be with you) and it already said finished processing in progress. do you think they are making me wait 28 days? the application clearly says to waive that for people upgrading from a pal to rpal. gah!!!!! i just want my rpal already!

I called again today. Brushed off again....

So odd, everyone I personally spoke to at the CFC was very nice and courteous. One of the agents volunteered the information about my "missing" interview without prompting.

Makes one wonder if the calls are rerouted by area code to the provincial CFO detachments considering the discrepancies in turn around time between the various provinces. My point being that due to Ontario's population density they'd logically get a higher than average number of calls and therefore more disgruntled agents.....

Yup, exactly as you suspected. They received it April 4th. On April 27th I checked online and it gave me the message that my application had been approved and that the PAL was being issued. The official issue date on the paperwork is May 2nd.

Good point. Your most likely right about that. I also tried to call the Ontario CFO in Orillia directly and sat on hold for 20 minutes before i gave up.

Wondering anyone in Ontario that's recently recieved there card in the mail. How long inbetween it being sent and recieved lately?

Just waiting on mine in the mail and looking to get an idea.
