LAR-15 10 Round Mag Extensions

didnt occur to anyone to make a new floor plate, with a raised threaded portion to also act as a key for a polymer body the same profile as the mag body.. so that it'll fit nicely and smoothly into pouches.. and also be able to use things like magpuls and couplers etc...

bolt the polymer body to the new floor plate..

probably be cheaper considering the molds are piss easy and much less metal work..
hell even a standard floor plate with nuts welded on will work.

You mean somethimg like these? these are the 3rd and 4th prototypes and NOT the final version. Pattent has been applied for and production will start soon, sorry can't share final version pics yet. :)

I want some. Let us know when they're for sale. I'm sure they'll go like sh*t through a goose.

All really great ideas. I hate when your doing mag changes and the lips of your other mag hits the ground and could possibly get damaged. Then you wasted $24-$30 on a mag that you have to fix or that's terminal. I've just started cutting old gi mags and throwing on the old style of magpuls to cover the edges. Didn't they used to have 10rd 30 look mags at one point. I thought Questar had them in the beginning.

There is a write-up somewhere on this forum where a guy took one of these and had 4 LAR mags in it.
Anyone know where it is? Search sucks

Not to burst your bubble... but you do realize that setup will block your ejection port when you switch the magazine, right? (at least on an AR15, anyway) They typically need to be staggered, which presents a problem when trying to offset the coupler on the straight-angled LAR-15's. On the flip side, if you mount the coupler a bit lower on this setup it will work perfectly on a Tavor.

Blaxsun correctly pointed out that aligning both mags will block the ejection port so I will offset the right mag and position it just slightly lower to see if it works. Since the mag release is ambi it probably won't matter.
