So I bought myself the scope mounts for my Cooey 60. I had it out at the range today for a session. This thing is awesome! It rings the gong at 300yds 8/10 times!

If you don't mind me asking, what sort of mounts are they. I've been looking, but can't seem to figure out how to properly mount a 1" scope on a cooey.

I believe I have the same rifle down in the safe. It was the first rifle I ever bought. If not the same rifle, at least the same action but possibly earlier vintage.

I should get it to the range a bit more often.

Nice set up and great photo.

My old school mount had a "B" in it I think. The #2 I bought recently was an adaptor with the 4 screws with 2 threaded holes for the thumb screws on the side mount rings. Did your scope center?

It's a two piece set up.
You need the side plate and then the scope mount.
Let me know if you need the numbers.
I just did the same set up twice.
My set up had the scope pushed way forward too.
They make a longer ring mount and I am almost convinced
it would work on this rifle.
One on the same rifle as the OP and one on my Winchester 69A.
And on both, I found the scope off center of the barrel.
Meaning the center of the scope is not directly above the center of the barrel.
I found H4831 a set for his Winchester 69A and his sits directly above.
Go figure.
I had Murphy hanging around for a period of time I guess...........
The only thing I found with those rings is they bite the scope tube.
Real easy to do too.

Mine was the same. The win 69 worked perfect and centered well, the cooeys were all a little off. I was going to elongate the 4 holes on the plate to get it centered better and never got around to it.

That's a nice looking setup. There's something about those old Cooeys...they look like a "real" rifle, don't they?

Here's my last purchase and a target to match.
Nothing fabulous for a scope and the parallax sort of
sucks on short range.
Fun, none the less.

The "made in Canada" is why I have so many of them. I consider utility as the #1 factor in any rifle and a cooey is hard to beat. They work, plain and simple. Most shoot very well even when rescued flaking rust with a seized action and a grey stock with a 2" warp. It just works.
