Some time ago I asked the following question:
"My father had a 4100 lightweight (1950"s) and it was drilled and tapped for a receiver sight. He had a Williams Foolproof installed. The gun is long gone and I came across a good one and thought I might set it up the same -- anyone know what number/model Williams will fit it?"
I was advised that the FP98 would be the right one -- sure enough, I confirmed that on the Williams sight and ordered one. Well, the sight arrived and it is designed to be mounted on the left side of the receiver but the gun is drilled and tapped on the right side. I assume I will have to get it drilled and tapped on the left by a smith or am I missing something -- as I recall, my dad's foolproof was mounted on the right?
