Hello fellow Gun Nutz. I have owned many an airgun in my time but am looking to travel into the hi powered airgun waters. can anyone recomend a canadian website that deals only in airguns? And for the sake of conversation if a guy wanted a .22 cal airgun around 900fps maybe a new nitro piston one. Could anyone tell me what a good one would be. Springer info is wecome too. just like the nitro piston idea. Thanks in advance.

Hear are a few, DL airgun, Specialty Shooting sports Outdors, Scopes and ammo, Canadianairgun furum store, Airgun Source. They are all Canadian and carry lots of great products.

900 ish. I work in pest control and need a gun enough to take say a rat or problem pigeon. doesn't need to be 900 but more than 500 and less than the speed of sound. Opinions on .177 for that sized game? How about fps vs. accuracy. I know the faster guns are not always tack drivers. Is there another action type I should look at? Besides pcp. thanks for all the resposes so far. so great websites there.

Rats and pigeons could be taken with a 600ish fps .177 or .22 with no trouble. Lots of guns to choose from. Can ya give an idea of $ you're looking to spend. Sounds like pcp and co2 are out so springer it is. Diana 34's are good shooters. As are Weihrauch 77's or 97's. Depends on what you want to spend.

I take pigeons with a CO2 powered Crosman model 2240 in .22 pistol at 490ish fps. It will take squarrel, birds, rats etc. Get a red dot and go kill'em vermin...

I have an rws springer that happily lobs lead at 900 fps, and dors so quite accurately. The Germans still make great stuff. Diana makes a side cocker that would fit the bill perfectly.

Most gun shops can order any air rifle you want.

Around $350 with optics inculded. I could go a bit more seeing as its a tax right off :) but thats all i have right now. So with side cocking rifles is it like a break barrel but the under lever is cocked to the side? Never have used one. They look more sturdy than some designs.

The 1322 crosman is back in production. It is a 22 caliber pump up pistol that will easily dispatch rats and pidgeons. they are available for about 70 bucks plus tax. add the 13 dollar shoulder stock and you have something awesome. Add a 40 dollar flat top piston kit and you will hit max velocity in 6 pumps. I wouldn't look anywhere else. so for $123 plus tax you have a perfect gun for your needs.

Question for AWOL, how distant are your targets? I had the pump version of that gun as a kid but the sights were broken when i bought it so i never had a clear idea of accuracy potential. Inside 25yd?

Pumping gets old quick. Especially when your trying for a follow-up shot. Look around for a used Slavia 630 or something similar. It will last a couple generations.

I would say no more than 30 yards is good. At 50 yards you need to be pretty lucky.

This guy used a Edgun Matador PCP Air Rifle, .22, 900ish, but very pricy!
