Browning 1911-22 .... 8000 rounds and counting...awesome .22

I now have over 3500 rounds though the Browning 1911-22 with a total of 5 FTF "Fail to fire". I have not experienced any other problems. I have to say this is the best 1911-22 I have had the pleasure to shoot. I still can't believe how trouble free this little gun is.

My heavy trigger has lightened up immensely. I had it measured with a trigger pull meter last week and it is running at about 4.5 lbs.

I had my trigger done and now I am having Rodger (Dark Int.) install a front fiber optic sight as I really hate that black sight.....

Looks like Frontier has some in stock at a good price...

gotta say I like dealing with Frontier

I was looking at the different makers , what sold me on the browning is the design...separate barrel.

My boys birthday is coming up so I thought it would be a good excuse to get a semi for him to shoot.... :D
I have a 6" S&W 17-4 he shoots but its a stretch for his finger. If my Mom likes the browning, I may buy her one too.

I have just returned from the range with my 1911-22. :)

I tried it with several kinds of .22LR ammunition, and it functioned perfectly with every round and both of the two magazines I have for it. I was very impressed with it's accuracy as it grouped tightly with everything I fed it.

Fantastic gun!!!!

They have been backordered for a very long time... The last retailer that had them in stock was Sporteque... Now can't find them anywhere.

I placed an order with Al Simon's in Hamilton about 5 months ago for 2 mags and have not heard since...

It seems I will need to sell my 1911-22 to pay some bills...

I'll be listing it on the EE tonight once I get some pictures taken. It will come with a second factory mag.

Finally....

...Got my Browning back from Rodger... Excellent job, custom sights:

Worth every penny... Which by the way, considering that both front and rear were custom built, turned out cheaper than buying factory sights and having them installed....
