FTR Rookie + a few photos at 900m last relay on Monday
FTR Rookie You must be pleased with your fine shooting 308win with those 200gr Bergers at 2600++ fps. You had to shoot your last relay alone and thats a handycap as you did not have the chance to read anothers shooters
shots and be able to get readings while watching flags when he shot.
I watched you shoot your 2 + 15 your elevation was very very good, just a hair less than Libertys 223 with th 90gr. The case preperation and loading sure showed and you holding of rifle keeping it consitant is not easy with the 308 with 200gr bullets, that load was rocking your shoulder back, for me the 223 is not so hard to do with so much less recoil.
Here is a few pictures I was able to take at 900m on Monday a lot are members of CGN
Trevor checking wind we won the high V pool with 5 at 900m 2 ahead of a 223 rem who was second with 3 lots in pool had no V bulls.paid a nice lunch for him on way back home
Barry Price who did a fantastic job of Range Officer for 3 days over the F class shooters 8 hours a day for 3 days in whicket heat. he was checking on one of the best F open shooters in Canada, and the nicest gentlman on the Range Don Mc Ginnus (spelling??)
La Bill,Liberty & D Hall all 223 shooters La Bill ended shooting above average for his first shoot ever in F class shooting 80gr bullets.I think you will see him at Kingston 2 +3 of June
few other shooters including FTR Rookie & Scott who shot his new 22/250 fast twist with 90gr bullets in open class, when he gets to understand wind he will do fine as his gun shot near water level all the shoot.
Here is one of Jonathon from Montreal shootin his 308 win Barnard with heavy bullets he shot a lot of V Bulls a nice 50 with 9 v Bulls at 300m
