Victoria Day 19-21 May/ Eastern F class Championships June 1 to 3

Manitou, I'll see you in Ottawa this weekend. I won't be competing in the ECFCC at the end of June. I am going to Nokomis, Sask that weekend for the WCFCC. Should be fun, and sometimes very interesting.

its a green light im in just have to reserve some nice weather with the weather man norm for a beautiful weekend

Hey,

last time we squaddedtogether at Connaught, there were lots of gooses**t spots all over the mounds. Really hope it will not rain.... (-:

Looking forward to shoot with V Master.... if it is still the case!!!!!!

Kenny won the Grand Agg by one V over Mark (Liberty). The 308s made a bit of a comeback with a few guys shooting the heavier bullets that seemed to deal pretty well with the wind.

Really tricky wind yesterday, including some 6 minute switches. Lots of great shooting on Sunday lead by Paul (manitou210) shooting 50s at 300 and 600.

FTR Rookie + a few photos at 900m last relay on Monday

FTR Rookie You must be pleased with your fine shooting 308win with those 200gr Bergers at 2600++ fps. You had to shoot your last relay alone and thats a handycap as you did not have the chance to read anothers shooters
shots and be able to get readings while watching flags when he shot.
I watched you shoot your 2 + 15 your elevation was very very good, just a hair less than Libertys 223 with th 90gr. The case preperation and loading sure showed and you holding of rifle keeping it consitant is not easy with the 308 with 200gr bullets, that load was rocking your shoulder back, for me the 223 is not so hard to do with so much less recoil.
Here is a few pictures I was able to take at 900m on Monday a lot are members of CGN

Trevor checking wind we won the high V pool with 5 at 900m 2 ahead of a 223 rem who was second with 3 lots in pool had no V bulls.paid a nice lunch for him on way back home

Barry Price who did a fantastic job of Range Officer for 3 days over the F class shooters 8 hours a day for 3 days in whicket heat. he was checking on one of the best F open shooters in Canada, and the nicest gentlman on the Range Don Mc Ginnus (spelling??)

La Bill,Liberty & D Hall all 223 shooters La Bill ended shooting above average for his first shoot ever in F class shooting 80gr bullets.I think you will see him at Kingston 2 +3 of June
P1080634.jpg

few other shooters including FTR Rookie & Scott who shot his new 22/250 fast twist with 90gr bullets in open class, when he gets to understand wind he will do fine as his gun shot near water level all the shoot.

Here is one of Jonathon from Montreal shootin his 308 win Barnard with heavy bullets he shot a lot of V Bulls a nice 50 with 9 v Bulls at 300m
his new March Tactical March-X 8x-80x 56mm
is just plain outstanding never seen a scope even close to this one Nightforce & Sightrons not even in same league to bad there just south of 4k

I had a good time, but clearly needed better reload (new lapua brass did have a lot of elevation)

and need a lot of practice on the 900M... will concentrate on that!!

Kenny

hi guys, i'm the one with the March as a rookie out there. Very pleased with my weekend, AWSOME PEOPLE and very good shooters also. I'm still not familiar with the names but i think it's liberty (initials M.F.), with is 223 that did an awsome come back on monday.....WOW great shooting. i will be there for the Eastern for sure, loved my weekend and specially all those nice person.

note that those heavy bullet (i'm shooting 200hybrid pointed) are very forgiving and at 300m, i shot 1/2moa windage and never looked at the flags, no hold off and same thing at 600m, put 1moa windage no flag looks or old off ! So i dont deserve that much credit for those "V".... I figured out that this bullet, pointed, got a G7 BC on 0.340.....

Congrats to ALL. Heard it was some BEAUTIFUL weather with typical Connaught
WTF wind changes.I surely missed being there this year. Pics looked great and with all the gear we drag around am glad to see someone remembered their camera.
Am counting on being in shape for the Eastern Regionals and look forward to seeing you all there.
Heard from the mill that registrations for The Eastern Regionals match are a little on the low side at moment and with May 30 deadline almost here,it would be a good idea to get them in now.
Am going to start up a reminder thread.
Again congrats...those winners mugs would look much nicer full of cold suds.

As the coach of Team USA, I accept that challenge

Scott ( almost a Canadian)

Hi Scott, welcome to Canadiangunnutz, great to see you here. I can't figure if your home range is in NY state, or if it is Connaught(!).

I know the Canadian teams to Camp Perry this year will be doing their very best to win the America Match and the F-Class Alongside, and I hope they do. I also know that the Americans have a really great depth of topnotch shooters, both in F-Class and TR, and I expect the American TR and F-Class teams at Camp Perry this August to be absolutely topnotch and very difficult to beat; I hope your teams function like a well-oiled machine, put in a fantastic performance and post match-winning scores.

As a member of the F Class America Match team I wouldn't be upset if they experienced a train wreck. However, I do expect them to challenge us greatly.
