The best part of a shoot styled like these is that you get to problem solve. If everybody shoots it exactly the same way.....its pretty boreing. There is always the "spirit of the game" in effect but, your a big boy figure it out and improve your skills, problem solveing and judgement. You will loose some and you will win some. This game has been played in Spruce for a long time and it is always fun. Untill you have designed some stages... give the guys some credit. its a lot tougher than you think to design a perfect stage...Hiccups happen.
Well, that's not what I'm talking about dude. I am a "big boy" and trust me, I can figure it out just as well as anyone. No need for you to be condescending bro. I do give them credit, but why were there sticks on the ground dictating how far from the pistol targets you had to stay later in the day at the end of stage 2 and not early in the day? Starting loaded with the shotgun at the breach is a LOT faster than unloaded too btw... I never once #####ed about how the stages were designed, just that it seems that the stages were run a little differently by different groups. I'm not bashing anyone or throwing the unfair card cause frankly it wouldn't make a huge difference in my scores, lol! I'd still be in the bottom 3rd! All I'm bringing to light is that the stages were run a bit different and that maybe we could all, as a group of shooters, do something to ensure we all run the them approximately the same way?
There's a big difference in what I'm talking about and how a shooter chooses to engage his targets which is more along the lines of what you sound like you're mentioning. I'm not saying everyone should shoot the stage exactly the same way, but there would be a LARGE time difference in starting loaded and unloaded on the door breach stage. 20-30 seconds on a 1.5-2 min stage is a LARGE difference in my eyes.
Oh, and I'm not 13 dude, I know I need to improve my skills. I'm a new shooter in essence, but I'm not new to competing. No need to make me sound like I'm a child whining about something that I'm not. I was just bringing it to light. I really could give a crap if I finish last or first, but in order for anyone to have an idea of where they are in scoring there needs to be an even playing field for everyone. If there's anything more after helping set up the courses that I can do at the next match after I return from Albania in mid July, I would be welcome to help with it.
*Edit: Essentially what I mean is, if there is no consistency in how the stages are run, why keep scores or times? If it's a free for all then lets just keep it that way. Run what ya brung and have fun!
