I second that! I'm just gonna order some of those puppies in 12ga!!! Lol, I should get 50 and see if anyone wants some. 10 doesn't sound like enough for just myself...

I was thinking the same thing. When are you taking off for work? Maybe we should do one order and save on the shipping. I'd take 10 for myself.

Unfortunately my flight to Luxembourg/Rome/Albania is this Wednesday... I'll probably order online and have them shipped to a buddies house while I'm away, lol... The shipping isn't that bad really.

I'm in for some of these as well.

Let me know what you guys want and we can put an order together and have it shipped to my place if that works.

Sam,

I'll probably order 50 anyway just so I can have some to hand out at events. As I'll be away for the next 4 weeks I doubt you'll want to wait till then to get some off me, lol!

Those dummy rounds are awesome! It's not worth my time to screw around trying to make some for that price.

I just got my order from dummy ammo today and I wasn't overly impressed. They cycled ok but they are flared slightly at the front so they don't chamber smoothly. They fill the front with a thin coating of silicone and after cycling them a few times it is starting to let go a bit. It appears they also fill the primer pocket with silicone and then crudely wipe it off leaving silicone smeared all over the brass (I even had to peel silicone off the sides of the brass and plastic). All in all, I was disappointed with the quality. With shipping and taxes it cost me $50 for 20 and if I was to do it again I would just take some spent shells like you were thinking of doing and make my own.

If you have already ordered them, don't pay any attention to what I just typed ;) but if you haven't placed your order, well I just thought I would give you one user's opinion.

haha... yeah all they do is fill spent shells with latex AKA caulk/dap/ect

gotta wipe that stuff when its wet though or its messy

They do put wadding and shot in the dummyammo ones and they are labeled dummy rounds so they are less likely to be mixed up with the real deal. I was disappointed with the silicone job they did though - looks like a 5 year old filled and wiped mine.

Good to know! I may just disassemble some, pop the primers, punch the primers out and reassemble minus the powder/primer and seal them with CA or silicone... ;)

I did that and topped them with hot glue from my glue gun - worked just fine but they weren't exactly pretty. I needed some more so next I tried using spent shells, bb's, and hot glue but the plastic expands after firing so they are a little reluctant to eject. I ordered the dummyammo ones so that I could get rid of my bubba'd dummies but the dummyammo ones are still kind of bubba-ish :). They'll get used though so I'm not complaining, just don't want you to be surprised like I was.

I have use of a loader though that I can re-crimp the shells with so they should be just like real shells. When I get around to making some in a month I'll report success or not, lol!

Good to Know I think I will hold off and maybe make some of my own.

Dude. They're cheap. LOL

How long is it going to take you to put them all together? If you make a bunch that have the proper weight of shot and everything in them like those ones, I'll give you a buck and change each for them. :dancingbanana:

Just don't screw up the silicone job!

hahahahahahahahah!:evil::stirthepot2::nest:
