ORA CQB Gear - setup questions

Yeah, but my neighbours look at me funny if I wear it when cutting the lawn......and jumping in the pool with it is right out according to my wife Laugh2

My neighbours would do more than look funny... I would likely end up face down on the sidewalk in front of my house trying not to move as 10 ETF officers encircled my home...:D. I love Toronto! I have been thinking of gearing up for Halloween with some blue gun replicas painted out , might just get away with that:onCrack:

Great video bolivar!

thanks for that video Bolivar. I did a CQB match last weekend. My first time. No pistol. I had minimal gear. Just belt, mag pouches and a dump pouch (though I ended up just dropping mags on the ground). And out of that my one recommendation to myself was: new boots!

Getting in the habit of having the finger fall on the trigger is bad whether the gun is loaded or not. The finger should never go in the trigger guard until the gun is presented to the target. You may not end up putting a new orifice in yourself with a chamber empty start but it's still no reason to allow the finger near the trigger.

I've been raked over the coals for the trigger finger in a previous, now deleted thread, so I sympathize. I've gotten into the habbit now of grabbing the pistol out of the holster with my index finger way out into space, using the bottom three fingers on the grip. Seems to have solved it for me.

Don't waste time stowing empty mags, once empty it should be on the way to the ground with your left hand containing the next mag.
