Alright, you got me on that one. I'm really surprised by the number of people who are expecting garbage. The shooting world isn't growing. You can't pedal junk into the market and survive, and Norinco isn't just about small arms. If you're expecting precision, then you'll be disappointed, but they seem to always go bang.

I don't know about that. I've seen a buddy of mine shoot his 14.5 Norc with a red dot off a vertical grip bipod. The one he had was modified with Magpul everything and a free float rail. It shot very well with decent ammo. Around 1 moa with that setup. For a chrome lined barrel, the Norc hammer forged 14.5 seemed to shoot pretty decently.

Finish was sub par, but otherwise the Nor AR worked very well and was accurate. Personally I'd rather spend the extra and go a bit more upscale. But for an entry level AR15 the Norc opened a lot of doors for getting people into the AR.

I see what you did there

man you could not keep these on the shelf if they were non-restricted. I have had mine for 3 years and never a failure that was not ammo related (I tried neck sizing, bad idea on a semi)

You couldn't keep any AR on the self if they were non-res. The EE would be flooded with su16s and mini14s.

Maybe Ruger made some secret agreement with the Canadian government way back when to keep the AR restricted and the mini14 not.

I bought a 14.5" I have 2000+ rds of handloads + factory. I have not had 1 failure of any kind, period. Give it a good cleaning every 500 - 750 rds or every range trip and lube the moving parts liberally with bearing grease. PMAGs is a must though :D

just bought a 10.5, have tried 3 types of ammo, double feeds every second round. tried new ejector, double feeds. orderd a new BCG from NEA hope it fixes the problem. the worst ammo that double feeds every time is PMC FMJ xtac. the rounds seem to jam up into the feed ramps. im a newbie at the AR thing, could it be bad feed ramps? i hope that wasnt too dumb of a question?

You have tried other magazines?
The ejector is a little spring loaded plunger in the boltface. It has nothing to do with feeding.
The extractor is what grips the rim to pull the cartridge or casing out of the chamber.
Both are invovlved with extraction and ejection, of course, but not feeding - unless a failure to extract or eject prevents feeding.
Always nice to have a spare bolt carrier assembly, but I suspect that it is not the solution to your feeding problem.

i will give the different mag thing a try, didnt even think of that. i was using a lar mag. looks like an excuse to buy some shiney new mags.

It could also be your buffer. I believe many people are finding changing to a heavy buffer will help slow down the cycling rate and improve feeding this way. Gives time for the empty case to get ejected before feeding the new round I think.

Are the rims being damaged by the extractor?

Im continually impressed with the quality of Norinco copies. M14, 1911 and M4 (AR15 pattern rifles). They work from the ox - its the modifications that wreck them ....

That is a big mystery.

The actual gun used in a violent killing spree that initiated the gun control agenda in Canada, is the one gun that escaped the prohib list and even the restricted list... even though it has been repeatedly described by the anti's as a semi automatic baby killer.

Really boggles the mind. AK, AR and FAL, never used in a killing spree are all prohib and restricted. Ruger was used to kill people and its the one gun left off the list when gun control comes in.

Any theories?

You need a Spike Extractor buffer kit from Questar. $7 fix, your gun will run like cream.
