So you guys rejecting Norinco on the basis it's made in China...I suppose you don't ever buy anything at Walmart either? How about Home Depot? Where's your dog food made?
The computer you are visiting and posting on this site...where were the components made again? The monitor, the hard drive, the RAM, motherboards...where are they all made? How certain are you that your laptop wasn't made by Foxconn?
How about that North American car/pickup you bought in the last decade...you sure the exhaust, springs and wheels weren't made in China? How about all the fixtures in your house, your drywall, all the rest, you sure that wasn't made in China?
What about your light fixtures, lights, furniture, new LED floodlights, solar panels, plumbing fixtures and pieces?
How about those "made in America" brand name scopes and knives...you sure your copy isn't one of the more recent lines made in China FOR the big brand name? What about that "tactical light"? Your motorcyle/quad/skidoo parts? Replacement parts from NAPA/Lordco and Cambodian Tire? Your batteries?
If you think about it long and hard, you'll find that Chinese made products are FAR more numerous than you already thought. But even that number is wrong: double THAT number, so that it's about 8x as much as you thought.
So if you reject Norinco on the basis "it's made by the enemy", then can we assume that you are Amish and reject all modern technology?
Look, I'm not trying to be critical or superior, I'm just trying to open some eyes as to the reality of the situation today: it's FAR FAR too late to avoid buying Chinese, if you are buying anything new. The last chance we had at avoiding "buying Chinese" was around the mid-1980's...and even then a buddy took me around the house lifting items up to see the Made in China stamp, and that was quite the shocker then. Today I simply ASSUME it's made in China. Even when the stamp claims otherwise, as there's been MANY liars in North America wanting to claim it was made here when it wasn't. I've heard this extends to many "big American brand"'s "budget lines".
If you take a principled stand in rejecting Norinco products, then I say good for you. Me, I'm too poor to not take advantage, having not realised the income levels where I can stand with you.
