Did some Nemesis videos at the range, they are on Youtube...

This is pretty funny.. First we say it can't be done and that its all internet shooting.. We question his rifle, his Shooting and his creditibility.. So in order to prove it the poor guy goes out and buys a tripod to film it as some people on the site told him to do so. And now that its posted we are mocking him cause its not a Ron Howard film... Is this a forum about precision and target shooting or is it a forum mocking people and doubting others rifles? Perhaps that is why I dont post much on here..

Anyways nice shooting Caramel! And thanks for all the effort to prove to these people the rifle and you, can shoot

You guys are never happy took me very long to do that, not much experience with filming so proof are what you wanted, i am now coming after the MR-1 haters, i may be old, or Quebecer or stupid but i am a very decided man and now some of the naysayers made me mad, lets go for it... JP.

Thats great, show up to a range and put your money where your mouth is so someone can at least verify what you are claiming.. At least you could have someone take the video for you instead of trying to do it yourself. I am sure you could explain to one of your friends who obviously witnessed you shoot 1.7"groups at 600 with that rifle that you are only try to prove unsubstantiated claims to put everyone in their place.

I do agree, i am more comfy with a rifle at the range or hunting than a frigging computer but i am slowly learning to get by... JP.

I have always believed your claims Caramel. But I am just wondering why after going through all the trouble of making this video to prove to everyone that you are telling the truth, why wouldn't you use your pet loads and shoot the smallest groups possible? I know it is "only 200 yards" but why not try to shoot the smallest groups you can?

Caramel that is great shooting for comercial ammo , but like Underthegun just said why not shoot your custom ammo?

You claimed groups as small as .650" at 300 meters shooting prone ,here you are shooting of the bench at 200 yds.

The point was valid because everybody saw my tiny groups at 500 metres, now if it would have been like + .5 moa to moa, i would have redonne it with my pet load, but i made my point 200 yard .46 -.48 groups with crappy ammo ( i never have an opportunity to waste those to get the brass), but when i go back to our range i will have a video to 500 metres an that time i will use my best load... JP.

Nice shooting Caramel. I've always heard it said "if you can do it, it ain't braggin' "

Just a comment for us all to consider.....
Refusing to believe something without proof is a rational position, however not believing evidence just because YOU can't do it is absurd!

Think about it.:p

I agree, those groups are nice but not even close to the ones you posted for 300 meters( 330 yards).
Good shooting anyways.....

Our private range is 160 km from here, this small range is only 10 minutes from my main house, this is the only reason, you wont stay on your appetite for very long as i will spend a couple of weeks at our northen lake (summer cottage alone on a small lake) and i cant shoot accross the lake to 810 yards so i will do a thing there... JP.

skypilot,

I took some heat in a previous post on this thread for not having an open mind or not believing that factory gear is capable. Its quite the contrary and I have more than an open mind but didn't just fall off the turnip truck either.

I am 47 and have been shooting since I was 10 yrs old. I also had the opportunity to shoot and train with some of the best snipers in the world including Rob Furlong and during the CISC on two occasions. I am well aware of how high end factory rifles can shoot. I have an AI that can shoot outstanding groups as well but its not about groups all the time either. I also don't shoot my trap off about it and post pictures trying to stroke my ego or say that the rifle is the only thing capable of doing it...or that its the second coming of christ and no other rifle is worthy of even being mentioned in the same category.

I think what ticks people off is he won't stfu about this rifle. Some of his claims have yet to be verified, thats very easy to do, there are guys from all over the country on this site. Show up at a match...with the claims he is making, he should have no problem winning a match. I could go on and on but said what I wanted to say. Just shoot the thing and enjoy it, it doesn't need to be shoved down people's throats or stating that its the best rifle in the history of mankind. Yes I do have a bit more of an open mind than that, it's too bad that some others don't.

From the claims that Carmel has made, I don't think any of this is going to go away any time soon unless Carmel shows up at an actual competition to compete against other world class shooters and their custom rifles............

Some bold claims have been made and some people want to see irrefutable proof that the rifle and shooter perform as stated.........the best way would be to show up at a match and beat all those experienced shooters........where multiple witnesses can back up the claims that were made......

Myself I am having a very hard time believing that Sightron scopes are comparable to the S&B PM-II..........;)

I think i'd had enough of that ####, lost half a friday to please some frustrated persons and they are still blasting me off, enough is enough, wont speak a ####ing word about my rifle no more some of you just dont deserve it...JP.

good on you for making the videos! i wouldnt take people to serious, cant please every one!

i for one look forward to seeing some videos of the 3-4-500 meter shooting.

if i may offer some video making advice... start off with the camera behind your shooting position, zoom in on target shoot group(s) zoom back out, then walk out to target while trying to keep it in frame at all time. then a close up of group.

will make for a quick 5min video, every shot will be seen and final group will be seen aswell NO ONE can argue that for proof.

just want to be clear, i neither deny what your rifle can do or can i support what it can do, but with said video method above , your threads wont turn to crap with people who choose to say its impossible

I for one applaud Caramel for stepping up to the plate. How many of us go out of our way with taking the time plus the costs to try and satisfy all of the nay sayers. If the rifle shoots that well with Blue box ammunition I see no reason why the groups should not be a lot smaller with the proper load developement in the Nemesis.
Caramel good on you for giving it a go, some folks no matter how hard you try are never going to agree with anything. Even if it could be proven to them.

After watch the video!
I am begin to see what you mean, maybe those target he claim was from 100meter, not 300.

I have been mostly quiet in this "discussion" watching from the wings, but honestly if you are going to make the claims that were made, you should expect to have to back up your claims...........

Caramel made some pretty bold statements regarding his rifle's performance and his shooting skill...........If him and his rifle are that good that is great. I am happy for him. But with that great of a combination why isn't he cleaning house at places like his Provincial Rifle Championships,Connaught or even Bisley ???.....and why isn't the Nemesis used by more or any "World Class" competitive shooters ???

There are a great many rifles out there that are as good or better then Nemesis..........some for less money........;)
